I definitely notice the 200lbs extra in the gas mileage! 14” is a good height, you don’t end up with much over the cab. My rack is at 14”.I decided to go with the Front Runner RTT and the Max Modular aluminum 14" rack to mount it to. I think this will give better clearance to move/roll the factory tonneau cover back and allow for jerry cans to be mounted. I almost did the 10" rack but didnt look like it would work to mount full size cans versus the rotopax. I also didnt want to go to far above the cab with the RTT. Hopefully this all works together and dont have too much wind noise. Saved 20 lbs on the weight of the rack vs steel and the tent weighs 93 lbs. This should help the suspension a bit and the mpg's. Waiting on the goods to arrive.
Oh god, really?! Mine already sucks using remote start 80% of the last few months. Once i get my Alu-Cab on......I definitely notice the 200lbs extra in the gas mileage!

Im curious of how everything looks packed up and how many voodoo bars you used?Just got my tent installed. Voodoo rack and 23zero tent with mopar tonneau cover.

Does anyone know a rack that would work with the mopar tri fold tonneau cover? Most, if not all, of the bed racks will have to clamp to the inside of the bed somehow and sit on the sides. this means they would have to interfere with any track or interface the cover creates with the sides. Some racks have a very thin strip that would go around it. the retrax style allows certain racks to bolt to the top of it.
Looks nice - how are you liking the TRECK?More pictures with the Skyrise 3 mounted. I had to use some superstrut to clamp the tent to instead of bolting it directly to the rack. In the future, I might replace the Yakima clamps with the superstrut, but it works great right now and its just the right height for me.
so I’m getting better at answering my own questions now. From what I’ve been told the Truxedo Sentry CT (pictured in my original al post) and the Armis from RR are the same cover. The Armis cover mounts on the top side of the bed and would prevent using the rack.So to anyone who has more experience with racks than I do, can you help me understand why a TruXedo Sentry hard rolling cover wouldn't work with a JCR half rack. I know the JCRs work with the Access Literider, but the TruXedo seems to mount in a very similar way and could be used in tandem. Am I missing something?
