What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I installed my rear skids on lower control arms and shocks today to finish protection of main components.
I’ve been posting on here for about 2 months now while I built this the way I wanted before going off-road or overland trips minus supercharger which is on backorder due to virus but have a question for anyone?

Where do people ride in S.C. or around?
Trying to find some guys to go wheeling with?
I know every motocross park within 300 miles from riding forever but no where to take gladiator.
Any help will be appreciated

Removed the soft top, re-installed my mopar sun bonnet, and then added an additional rugged ridge sun bonnet(made for the front) over the rear so our rear facing 10 month old has more shade(per mandate of “the boss”). Then tucked her all in for the night with our mopar rain cover.

I don’t know much about sun bonnets, but wouldn’t you think it should be a light color? A color that doesn’t attract sunlight?

Just curious I was looking at your front skid plate. Do you have it mounted differently than it comes from the factory? The brackets look to be in a different spot than where I have mine. I have taken mine off to add a towing kit to trailer behind my RV. I didn't take it off so I may have installed it back incorrectly lol just curious. thanks!

I can not spot the difference in the photos. My photos where taken before I ever touched the skid plate.

Installed a bumper and a winch. Been out of work for a while so money is tight. went with some cheap parts.

Winch. I would have loved to get a usa made Warn but they are out of my price range so the choice came down to which Chinese one. It seems that most of the amazon winches are all the same with just the name being different. This one I got is rated 13,500 lbs with synthetic rope. 7.2 hp.

Mounted this on a EAG steel bumper. The bumper came packed very well. No dents or blemishes. What a great value.

I watched a bunch of videos on removing the plastic bumper. They all referred to the plastic brush guard that needed to be removed first. Well I was pleasantly surprised to find I had a nice steel skid plate there. I guess that is standard on the rubicon to protect the sway bar disconnect. I was able to keep it installed with the new bumper.

I just need to mount my license plate and then it's done. Winch is wired up but I will put a solonoid disconnect on it to keep the mail cable from being hot all the time.

Took me 10 months but I finally got her top off and yes, summertime is calling me... Time to get into the wind. Doors come off in a month when it gets a little warmer. Then she will be totally naked all summer. Bought her a little Mopar cab cover for those chilly garage nights.

Where in SC are you? A lot of the Jeeps around here (Upstate) go to Gulches. I’ve not been yet, but I will whenever my TJ crawler is done.

Sorry. Read the post a little too fast. I was looking at the rain cover as a means for shade. I’ve seen the error in my ways and now want a sun bonnet for me self. Haha

All out of mods for right now... I'll find something else to add sooner or later... Probably next things will be the TeraFlex adjustable track bar to recenter the front axle, and the Fox steering stabilizer to take up a bit of the wandering from the larger tires and offset wheels...Even though it does steer and handle better than stock, as-is... But it could use a bit more help IMO, to make it trip-worthy, and good-to-go for highway speeds and interstate driving.

Man the factory non alpines suuuuuuuck. My jk Alpine speakers were waaay nicer with shielded neodynium magnets and hard coated cones.

Took it for a long drive today, and you can feel the difference, not as loose. I also finally put on my wheels and tires!!!
