Auto JTR Towing capacity more than 7000lbs?

I just logged onto MOPAR.com to schedule my free oil change and noticed this about my vehicle:

Max Payload
1119 lb (507.79 kg)

Max Towing
7319 lb (3320.06 kg)

Has anyone else noticed this? I’m going to stick to under 7K just the same, but this was interesting to me.

Mine is showing 1184 payload and 7384 max towing.

Don't go by what is there when you log in, they had me in negative numbers for some time.

Jeep posts general guidelines for the Gladiator, but the door label is customized for each truck based on the installed options. Does the door label match what is shown on the website?

Max payload matches at 1119Lbs.

Jeep has their published figures for the Gladiator, and the Max Tow has the highest capacity of all models. The actual capacity for each truck varies from the published figures based on the installed options, and each truck has a customized door label showing that amount. I have a loaded Overland, and the payload capacity on the door label is only 1032 pounds.

Perhaps, I have a Rubicon. I’m not surprised by the 1119 capacity, but am about the 7300lb tow rating according to my personal MOPAR.com page.

Bacon has a Rubicon, not a Sport S max tow. So his payload and towing will be less.

I think your payload number sounds fairly close to mine - an Overland as well.

My rubicn shows even higher numbers. Almost max tow level towing, payload isn't great though. I have a super basic rubicon with soft top only.

called the dealership yesterday and they said it varied on each vehicle based on individual specs (hard top, sliders, etc.)
