Magnuson Moss Warranty Act is not applicable in Canada but get where you are coming from. Even in the United States, it is a pretty toothless law unless you got the coin to sue on your dime in Federal Civil Courts to enforce it.
Not to mention the time to wait........... the problem with using courts is that so many big outfits with banks of lawyers know the time and money it takes and so they don't need to care much.

This is not direct at anybody in particular, but it is just a pet peeve of mine when the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act is mentioned. While people are correct in what the law states, you might as well wipe your ass with it because it is not enforced at the individual end user level and no team of lawyers from the FTC is going to parachute in to save anybody on their behalf over it.

So individual dealers can basically just do what they hell they want and a customer in the service bay ballyhooing the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act is not going to move the needle for them. I have mentioned if before, people have better luck having their state consumer protect laws come into play if applicable.

We took our GCLE to the dealer 3 months ago complaining about the steering. He said they tightened bolts (not sure which ones) and it seemed fine for a couple of weeks. Could have been mental versus reality. called yesterday for the same reason. Dealer said bring it in, they will diagnose. He now knows it’s an issue because others have had the same issue. After diagnose he will order the parts.
Here’s the kicker, he can only order 1 every 7 days. And he said FCA is going to make it harder to get the part as time goes on ( they will blame it on demand) so he’s glad we are getting it in now.

I just picked my Gladiator up on Saturday. My build date is 08/01/20. My question is, does this TSB apply to all 2020 models or just earlier builds? Both Gladiators that I test drove (and the one I bought) both had/have wandering steering while going down the road at highway speeds. For me, it felt similar to older Jeeps that I have had in the past. My ‘04 Rubi felt this way. The steering on my old RAM was much, much better with no wandering. So before I go to a dealer about this, I’m just wondering if this is the issue is truly solved by the TSB.

Does not apply to all 2020 models, just those with the old, aluminum steering box like yours (your build date is too old).

The 2021 model comes with the new steering box...because it is better. I recommend you get a dealer to order a box and replace it under the TSB.

Thanks. I figured they would have worked out the issue with my August build date. I will schedule an appointment.

Like mouse said - but, to clarify a bit - ALL 2020 except the very last ones built, apparently. If you want to know, look at the PART NUMBER and COLOR of your steering gear.
If it's semi-gloss black and has part number 68507576AA on the sticker, then you have the new correct steering gear.
If it is gray, maybe a dirty gray to silver aluminum look and does NOT have that part number, you are covered under the TSB.
I'd make really sure by looking - there are pictures here on page 54 of this thread (and other pages, too) that explain perfectly in visual form.

Here's a link that will take you directly to the page with the pictures and part numbers -

Dropped mine off for service this morning! It's Christmas day. I cannot wait for this fix and to be done with this thread almost 80 pages later.
Me too!

Update from me... dealership initially told me (and the @JeepCares rep handling my case) that they could only order 1 a week and there were 3 in front of me. Well, 3 weeks later, they are now saying they can only order one every 14 days. The Jeep Cares rep I am working with (Meka, she has been great) said no other dealerships she has spoken to have a limitation on ordering these and FCA has not imposed a limit on ordering or indicated any kind of back order).

So, I am going to wait 3 more weeks and if this dealership is still screwing around when the @JeepCares rep follows up again with them , we are going to look for a different dealership.

The "one every 14 days" is the same thing my dealer said. Must be a limited supply (got to build new JTs).

The service writer I dealt with was a fairly new guy there (2 months on the job at that point) and he seemed brutally honest and open about things (they'll change him of that)
I should call him and ask if he's heard of such a thing because when I picked mine up, he said another had just come in for the same thing......... he'd know since it sounds like he wrote that one up, too.

That’d be interesting to hear
