Looking to get my first Jeep and a Gladiator at that. There's a few dealerships around me offering ~12.35% off MSRP of 2020 Rubicons with little-to-zero APR for the first 36 months. As an example, that brings the model I've had my eye on from $56,690 to $49,690.
The only thing is - I've been on the lot of six Jeep dealers and they are PACKED full with 2020 Rubicons. Ive visited these dealers and their websites frequently over the last six weeks and haven't noticed a single of these Rubicons removed (sold). I postulate that they aren't selling at these prices with 2021's already on the lots and these offered builds being high prices but missing key packages that would have made it worth it for an extra grand or two.
I've tried respectfully negotiating the price down and not a single dealer will budge! Literally not a single of the six dealers entertained a discussion of going lower. Do I think the Rubicon I have in mind is worth $49,690? Yes. But I hesitate hard when they got more 2020 Rubicons on these lots than a Honda dealerships got Civics. And knowing the Gladiator didn't really sell well despite it being an amazing truck. You love it. I love it. But it is what it is.
So what do you guys think? Anyone out there score lower than ~8.77% APR?
