So I’ve had a set of cheapo $60 rock lights laying around since last year. They never made it onto my 2 door so I figured, what the heck. I can’t believe the supplies wires reached everywhere they needed to.

Not today, but got my 35" ridge grapplers installed Tuesday.

Added power to the bed today and also installed the Z-Automotive trail camera.

Finally added my Rubicon springs and JKS quick disconnects. I work in a high school and shocker. We have an auto shop. My spring swap became a lab on spring rates. Good situation of quid pro quo.

For those curious.... Front ground to frame was 13.75 and rear was 14 before rubicon springs. After 14.75 and 15.

See Before and after pic. It's noticeable.

My dad taught construction trades at the high school vocational center. He got all of his work done by the kids in the mechanics shop. Free labor and he knew the shop teacher made sure they did good work. Great experience for kids to get real world hands on training. Hey they loved working on that JT!

I am a HUGE believer in teaching trades in HS. Not every kid has to go to college and many can earn a great living from a trade. We offer Auto, Cyber Security, Adobe, Pro Start, and Soil Sciences.

I had to teach auto for a semester when we lost our old shop teacher. My JT was the newest thing they have ever worked on. They got to compare Sport S springs to the Rubicon springs. They got to see how spring rates vary and even with two springs that were similar in height, we had a change in ride height. We picked up an amazing master tech from Tennessee. This guy is the real deal. The kids love him.

Hear, hear. I went to college for 4 years while my best high school friend became an auto mechanic. A couple of other buddies got in the construction trades. 4 years later I was working an entry-level job and up to my eyeballs in student loan debt while they were all doing quite well for themselves. I actually quit that job to paint houses for one of them and make more money. 10 years later I had my own house painting business that I operated for the next 15 years or so. I made some lifelong friends in college and no regrets on that front, but it had very little to do with my ability to earn income throughout my life.

My son just got his TIG vertical certification to complete his welding certs, he is a junior in high school. Kid is going to walk into $30 an hour right after he graduates next year.

do you have a parts list or write up for that bed power? I'd love to do that

I got the power board on amazon:

power panel for bed

I got the wiring harness from Genesis Offroad:

wiring harness

It's pretty straight forward from there. You will need some red/black wire and some connectors to wire the power panel. Will also need some zip ties to run the wiring harness under the truck to the bed.

You will also have to make the hole bigger where the oem power panel goes. I used a dremel, but it sucked. just don't take off too much, or you will be able to see around it or not have anywhere to screw the panel to.
