Got my Cascadia VSS Hood Solar kit on!

Took a couple months since order placed, but today was the best sun we had all year so perfect timing to get it installed.

I got the solar and the charge controller. I went and did a hood blackout kit instead of the vinyl they offer which is just for under the solar panel.

I previously made an underhood mount for my trigger unit with intention of this fitting on as well, so just nudged it over and cleaned up the wires routing.

Its only 30w which doesn't make it a watt/$$ bargain, but it will always be making power all day long, so better to have a trickle all day, than a forgetful lazy blast from time to time and storing panels. Those without the Rubicon hood can get the 80w kit for about the same cost, so it's a nicer setup for those with big flat hoods.

Mounted my Curtis trailer hitch and modified the cross member with a Sawzall in preparation for my new bumper - which FEDEX says is going to be delivered today. We'll see.

Attached Rhino Rack RLT600 legs with Vortex bars - seem stout, though I’m bummed I couldn’t get a mid height rack with the X4s tonneau…. Oh well, picking up our Skycamp Mini next week! FYI to anyone in the Denver area, Rack Attack on Evans had a few hard shell RTTs that I’ve seen back-ordered with most online vendors.

I Finally received my RSI Cap and had it installed. I think the FIT could have been more just Gladiator than also serving as a cap for Ford Ranger(what dealer said) but after fussin around with the Winco Tire Mount and everything-It came out " Wicked Good"

New amp should make a real difference but, Wow! That's looks like a lot of disassembly probably not that bad though.

At least you aren't chasing a water leak like I was in the WK. I had the whole interior out on a few occasions. Got to where I could strip it in less than 30 min.
