lots of threads on this website about speaker upgrades. I put kickers in my corner dash speakers and did the MB QUARTs sound bar upgrade 6x9. I lost all bass when i did that upgrade, but my mids and highs are excellent now.

Instead of the MB quarts 8'"s, im doing two shallow mount tens under the rear seat in a custom box. Probably just some junk skar or rockford fosgate cheapies. The box cost me more than the subs and amp combined. (amp i got used). Once i get those installed (should be here tomorrow) ill update on my thoughts. I was a basshead years ago, not trying to wake the neighbors anymore.

the jl stealth box with two jl w3's was going to be too much for my taste but its stellar, hard hitting sub upgrade.

I have the 5” screen and put in kicker 3.5s in the dash and sound bar and kicker 4s in the sound bar.. they were borderline cheap, took about 10 minutes to install and are a night and day difference on the highs and mids. Still needs a sub for the lows. Just for simplicity i ordered the kicker powered 8 but havent put it in so cant say how it sounds

Check out car audio fabrication. That guy did a system upgrade to a wrangler. You might be able to take some ideas from it.

My Willy`s came with the 7" system without factory alpine upgrade.

I went with the Alpine PSS-23WRA sub / amp system and the Kenwood X3C`s in the dash.
Seems to be the most common set of audio upgrades that Ive seen, really brings the system to life and doesnt require modifying factory harnesses. Can all be done in a couple hours in the driveway.

Crime fighter.
I have the Alpine factory in my JT, and my wife’s JLU has the non-alpine system. Just installed the PSS-23 in hers today. Took me just shy of 3 hours. Wow, what a difference! Much louder/cleaner than it was and she’s totally happy. Money well spent considering the ease of installation.

This is what I did and it sounds AMAZING!!! Much Much better than the premium Alpine system......I'd say the singe most important piece if you budget is tight was the speakers.....I did the 3.5 Infinity dash speakers first it was super...Adding the FOCAL 6.5 took the sound to a completely different level... and the HS10 sub filled in the low end.....HUGE HUGE improvement...You could probably do this with the 7" radio and save a bunch...

8.4" Mopar radio/nav
6.5 Focal speakers in kick panel
6.5 Focal in Soundbar
SVS 6.5 adapters
3.5 Infinity speakers dash
Alpine power pack amp
KIcker HS10 subwolfer

....FYI Purchased all this through Cruchfield but BestBuy has a service deal called Total Tech Support where they installed anything/everything for $200 for 1 year....The Total Tech SUpport subscription allows you to have any electronics or lights installed for the yearly cost of $200.....I've had them install tons of stuff and it cost nothing after the one time fee!!! You pretty much have to take the whole dash apart to install the kicker panel speakers...lol

So you purchase from Crutchfield and took said items to Best Buy for install correct? Or Best Buy has same items and install is an additional $200?
Coffee hasn’t kicked in yet so I may be misreading your post…

Went to Best Buy and talked to the installer about upgrading my sound system. We both like Focal sound and Rigid light products but Best buy doesn't sell them. He suggested that I just buy what I want from Cruchfield or wherever and they would install it under the Total Tech SUpport contract I purchased for $200.

So, I purchased the audio equipment from Cruchfield and lights from Rigid and switches from amazon. They don't seem to care where you purchased the equipment as long as you purchased to $200 Total Tech Care service package. I would suggest going to your local Bestbuy and asking to talk to the installer...Not a sales person or on the phone...It save me hundreds in installation cost !!
