Should I put some spacers lift or do a mopar lift?

I have a jeep gladiator rubicon diesel. I currently have 35s in it. There is no rubbing when I go off roading. I am going to install the 2.5 fox shocks in the future. But I think a 2 inch lift would make it look better. So I would like to do that before installing the shocks and the fox bump stops.

I am still debating in what to do tho. I want the 2 inch mopar lift but I honestly don’t need the shocks that it comes with. Is there a way to get the lift without the shocks? Or should I just do a spacer lift? I might possibly go with 37s once I’m done with the 35s…

I considered those options, but ended up going with a Clayton 2.5" Ride Right lift.

I like that the Clayton kit comes with adjustable track bars, adjustable uppers, and adjustable sway bar links. Nice for dialing things in. About the same price as the Mopar lift but does not include shocks.

I don't have mine yet though, so no real world experience I can comment on.

The serious question you have to ask yourself, is this for show or go?

If it's really just for show, go the least expensive route.

If it's for go, there are better options for less money than MOPAR and you can go ala carte` with.

Definitely not for show lol. I usually go off-roading once a week. I mostly go to the dunes, there’s no places for rock crawling around where I live.

The rubicon suspension is not good for the dunes at all. I’ve bottom out the truck a couple of times and I wasn’t going hard at it. My friend has a Mojave and I love the way his truck feels and drives in the sand. That’s why I’m kind of trying to go the setup he has.

The Mojave suspension is more different than just Fox Shocks.. There is a good Utube video on all the differences of the Mojave v Rubicon. I agree with the post on the 2.5" lift above, sounds like a good lift package if you already have shocks.

I have the Mopar lift with 37's.

It's perfect for the off-roading I do, but I plan on adding a few additional pieces that this kit doesn't come with (adjustable track bars, heavy duty ball joints, etc.) because I plan on keeping this truck for a while, and I want to just beef it up slightly more than what the Mopar kit provides. As others have stated, there are better kits out there. Just depends on how you ultimately want your truck to perform. Not saying you're trying to turn your Rubicon into a Mojave, but if you like the ride of the Mojave that much better, maybe consider trading?? You can dump a ton of money trying to build a "Mojabicon", and ultimately still not be pleased with it.

That’s what my friend told me. But honestly I’m not going to give up the diesel lol. I just simply love it. Hearing that turbo spool brings me a smile just like a kid with plenty of candy. So pretty much I need a suspension that can handle the dunes better ?. I’ll be more than happy to take any feedback from fellow gladiators owners that have taken this path I want to take and learn from their experience

I was in the same boat, but “settled” on the Mopar lift.

As a kit tho, the Mopar is a good all around package. As a weekend warrior, I didn’t want to deal with a spacer kit or aftermarket brackets to get height and be a weak point on a $50k truck that has to get me home and to work on Monday.

I think I ultimately want to build something more bespoke, but theres a lot of chassis components that can be upgraded in preparation of, and likely, can sell the Mopar Lift if I decide on better shocks or springs.

Also, a huge comfort improvement was simply swapping out the bumpstops. Try the Mopar lift, along with replacement bumpstops (I have the terraflex Falcon progressive $100, but you could get hydraulic stops, which is probably the big difference you feel in the Mojave)

Although, if you want to go custom, AEV control arm drop brackets(or fixed length extended lower control arms), adjustable track bar, extended swaybar endlinks (or for awesome desert performance, some quick disconnects), Spring spacers (or replacement lift springs), and the shocks and bumpstops of your choice.

I personally was looking at this option to DIY from, as its a nice kit for not much coin. Just bring bump stops (or buy the cheaper one and get the fancy shocks later), and your choice of drop brackets or adjustable control arms.

I don't have a diesel, but from my personal experience..the Mopar kit is a great option. I attempted a spacer + generic shock kit, and it did not go well. The Mopar kit is a fantastic all-inclusive setup imo.

I can start with the mopar lift and the hydro bump stops. Then upgrade the shocks later on ?.

How about looking for a set of Mojave take-offs. I saw one listed in the members forum the other day. I believe those were $2400 for the shocks.
