A removable console (doesn't say some dinky tray or something, but the whole console) would open up all sorts of aftermarket opportunities. This is a major driver of the hobby, and seems like the obvious and awesome choice!

The thing I feel is missing is a good spot to put a phone, preferably with a wireless charger. If the Qi protocol goes away at some point (and it will), if the console is removable and thus customizable, the truck can keep going indefinitely.

For those that prefer lockable storage, so problem. Want some cushy leather thing? Easy cheese. Lots of cubbies, done. Big open tray with a mount for a mobile desk. Give it a few months, and the aftermarket will have you covered.

No brainer!

I want bigger space in my console. Space that's open without nooks or weird spaces. My Expedition had a large center console, but it opened up at the bottom. So the top opening was smaller. It was awkward.

It would also be nice if the center console was sturdy, as some of us have hobbies or have items that would need to be stored out of sight, but secure.

My VW Golf had a center console storage space that was slightly bigger than a cup holder.

Removable storage would be pretty cool. Especially if you could have a fridge/small cooler instead of a storage cubby.

How about a lockable metal console?

These! Jeep doesn't even have to spend the R&D to develop any of it, just make it removable, provide a power supply, and that's it! Sorta like Ford's FITS (I think that's what it's called) feature in the new Maverick, but way better. Super awesome feature(s) for next to no dollars on Jeep's part. Fantastic customizability on the users' part. Assimilate the market standouts a la Bestop's Sunrider, and boom! Instant awesome!

I traded a 2020 Ram 1500 in for my 2021 Jeep Gladiator. The ONE big thing I miss is the center console! The Ram had the $495 interior upgrade that featured a gigantic console with four cup holders, huge storage bins, cell phone mounts, side pockets, laptop/paper platform, etc. It was SOOOOO nice.

It was really hard to adjust to the JT which only has 2 cupholders and one tiny storage compartment. I felt like I lost half the truck!

If Jeep could figure out a way to improve the center console and the horrendous exterior mirrors for the mid-cycle refresh in '23, that would make this truck so much more appealing!!!

Power lock. Would be nice for the glovebox too for doors off days.

It would be nice to be able to remove the front and back roof easily, but other then that the interior is actually very nice. Consider that my last two vehicles are a BMW and Audi.

Some cars have that feature where the console lid (just the top) can slide back and forth to help improve the armrest capability. That would be great to see. I've always felt like the Jeep console sits too far back.

I really cant complain too much about the console in my JT.
Compared to my CJ/YJ consoles of yesteryear Jeep has put effort into making their consoles functional.

But....

Can we move the parking brake back to the footwell?

That would open up a lot of flat real estate to park my food bag/phone/key mess.

Imagine a flip down tray(like in an 02 honda CRV) in place of the parking brake business. Tray up and all sorts of stuff can sit on top...McD bag...Chips...bug out bag...Or you can swing it down out of the way and set stuff on the floor next to the seat and...easily vacuum out the "black hole" or retrieve your key fob.

Make the console part easily removable separate from the shifter "towers" and let the aftermarket/fabricator do their thing.

Screw the console. How about just putting the window controls back on the windows?

Alright to stay on track, I actually like the center console as is. Maybe it could be a little bigger but it’s not bad, looks good and is pretty comfortable to rest your arm on.

As a driver with the manual transmission, I would prefer the height of the center armrest to be a bit lower.
