I have had my Gladiator about one year and have noticed some issues with the drivers seating position. Is anyone having issues with your right foot becoming sore or numb while on drives over 30 minutes. I also am having right hip pain while driving more then 30 minutes. I am average height 6 ' 200 lbs.
I found that leaving my right leg extended alleviates pain in my thighs.

I am sometimes amazed by the amount of stuff people come up with to complain about.

Just like how some complain that the rear reverse lights shine into the back up camera too bright. When it clearly doesn't at least not enough to hender anyone.
I agree with you. But uncomfortable seats aren't trivial. In fact its huge. Why would you even want to drive a vehicle you can't get comfortable in??

The Gladiator seats are, for me, the most comfortable I've ever had. My wife agrees, and she has back issues and has had major back surgery. You might consider that you have something going on in your back or hips and you might need to have a specialist take a look at you.

Get an Inversion Table and use it regularly. Gravity over time will affect back pain. I have had two sciatic nerve lockups on the left side and if you have not experienced the event, pray you never do.
This is exactly what came to my mind when I got to post #10 in this thread.

Guys who have never experienced L4/L5 disc rupture have no idea how important comfortable seating is. After I blew mine in my early 30s my priorities changed and seating comfort is now one of the first things I look at when shopping trucks.

This was another huge benefit of the Mojave for me. The seats seemed to be far more comfortable than the rubicon I drove. I’ve spent hours on end with no issues.

Just saying. I drive in a patrol cruiser daily with a duty belt that weights god knows how much for years now. Gladiator seats are no more discomfort that anything else. If not they’re better. People just complain way too much IMO

I have an F150 and those seats are much more comfortable in my opinion. I'm 5'10" and weigh 165 lbs.

Girlfriend says the same thing, she prefers the F150 seats.

But the F150 is nowhere near as cool. ?

How old are you?

Do you have back problems?

You speak like a young person (who I admire because you don't like whiners) who hasn't yet experienced the kind of pain that happens when you get older. I also ask because I have 2 cop friends in their 50s and both have bad backs from riding around all day with a duty belt on.

In your cruiser, its a part of the job. No sense complaining. Nothings going to change.

In your personal car, its supposed to be something that is pleasant to ues. Thats why you buy it.

If a car seat isn't comfortable it can make you miserable. MISERABLE if you have back issues.

I am lucky. I don't have back issues. But then again, I also drive a Volvo currently. Which has perhaps the best seats of any car.

When I test drove a Willys, I Immediately didn't like the seats. Not that I couldn't live with them if forced to. But I'm not forced to.

I wouldn't buy a Willys.

I eventually tried a Mojave with leather and the seat was pretty good. Something I could live with. Since I was planning to get a Mojave anyway, this is a good thing.

I get your point about profession versus personal. Definitely want something comfortable for your personal. So I agree totally. But I don’t find a problem with my JT seats. Maybe it is cause my profession has made me used to it. Maybe I also don’t complain about simple things. I just find that a lot on here. Even with other things. There’s no way I’d start a thread complaining about some of the things I see on here is all I’m saying.

but to answer your questions I’m not young by any means but definitely wouldn’t consider myself old (as of yet). 38 next month. No major back problems. But I have my days considering I’ve been in my profession for about 11 years now.

I get your point also. (toughen up butter cup)

;-)

By the way, have you had to drive a Taurus?

One friend got one after they cycled out his Crown Vic a few years ago. He said it was a nightmare. Withe the prisoner divider in place, he couldn't slide his seat back nearly far enough.

He's got an Explorer now and says its much better.

My other friend has a Tahoe. He loves the room.

started with a Vic as a rookie. Had for about 2 years. Then a Taurus interceptor. Had that up til 4 months ago. Switched to another department with no contract with Ford, so Im in one of the Chevy Caprice PPVs now. Super fast, corvette engine. Other than that I hate it. Constant suspension issues too.

we’re phasing those out soon anyways to Durangos so hopefully I’ll be in one of those soon enough. Way more room.

same height less weight no issues. I drive my rubicon until the tank is empty. ACC also helps with stretching but not needed

Thanks for you reply to my post, no I am not old, I am in my 50's but I am a gym rat and am in better shape than most half my age. I'm just looking for a improved seating position. I did receive a reply suggesting seat risers or jackers . I will look into these.
