Gren71: There are the same pod lights sold by Harbor Freight I have a pair and they work great, my question where did you get the amber cover for it ??????
Thanks....

Installed some cube lights connected to my aux panel.

while looking at lights on Amazon I saw these amber clip on covers, which just blew my mind.

This forum has sold me on the need for amber lights with snow driving and I really wanted to have some for this season. But didn’t really care for full-time amber lights. So these Are the best of both worlds in my opinion.

I used the Mopar mounting brackets. Which like others have said you have to drill some holes, but really they’re not rocket science to install.

annnnnd of course i got my obligatory cut while doing anything to my jeep. No super glue required this time though!

I got my seat rest back hooks installed. I usually set my backpack behind the seat. Now it can hang!

Also installed these 50W Amber lights on the a pillar cowl mounts. Took a couple of hours to get them both installed last night.

The lights have a DRL option, but I bought the wrong fuse jumper yesterday. Need to head back to Auto Zone and get the right one.

Took JT out for a drive and the lights were great! I have factory LED headlights and fogs, which are crazy bright. These new lights improved my field of view considerably!

Swapped out the 4.10 gears for 4.88’s. I had a great time. Outside on the carport. Took 4 days total. 2 days per axle. At 70 years of age I’ve learned to work more slowly so I don‘t forget to do stuff. LOL!!! Thanks to Chevymitchell on the JL forum for great instructions on the procedure.

You just gave everyone here zero excuses to not work on our own truck if you have the tools unless it’s about time lol.

Well done!

Finally replaced my rear bumper after messing it up a few months ago. I took the silver inserts out and painted them the same orange as the rest of my outside pieces. I also changed the bolt surrounds to black vs silver. The only real complaint about the bumper is the license plate is just holes that needs new nut and bolt. All and all that is not a very small issue.

Finally got my bumper installed. Poison Spyder didn't have the mounting hardware with the bumper so it took a while to get that fixed, but we're good to go!

Didnt want to buy a 5th $400 tire so… scoured the local sources and found nothing. Got this one shipped to my door from eBay for $88. Town fair mounted and balanced for $19. Now have a full size spare tucked in. Not the same brand, but same size so all good in my book

. Hell yeah. I see you have an Overland as well. Not sure if you kept the Overland stock wheels, but I wanted a matching spare myself. Bought an extra Overland stock wheel off eBay for a decent price. When I got my tires I just bought a 5th (which was expensive for the tires, but oh well).

But got a matching spare for a 5 tire rotation. Plus the stock Overland wheel actually mounts under the bed just fine.

Love the look. What lights did you use and where did you tie it in?
i used a 17” amber LED light from Amazon(comes in a pack of 2). Ran the wires under the insulation to the corner closest the fuse panel and tied into my oracle DRL wiring which terminates at fuse F51 (cig lighter). The light only comes on when the vehicle is running.

Time will tell how long those little bolts hold through beating and banging around since the little intake grate it a bit flimsy. The 17” light will come with two bolt sizes. The shorter of the two is too short and the longer is too long. I just tightened everything and took a grinder to the remaining bolt length so that it didn’t interfere with the insulation.

Took my 2020 JTR (totally stock) on its first extended drive from Glendora, CA to Atascadero, CA today which Nav says is 189 miles.

Started with about 1/2 tank and 15.5 mpg showing on the dash. It climbed to 17.2 mpg driving between 65 - 70 mph through mid day traffic.

Filled up about half way through the trip and was able to cruise between 70 - 75 mph and got as high as 19.2 mpg until I arrived.

Does this sound about right to you guys? I've had mine since July 4th 2021 weekend and have done 99% in town driving. MPG is usually about 15.5 to 17. On the way home I may TRY driving 60 - 65 and see if I can get over 20 mpg.

Drives great, no issues whatsoever. After having a 2014 GMC 2500HD Denali I really am enjoying this smaller-but-more-capable in many ways truck.
