So happy for you, Tim!

Still happy with my decision, lol. Enjoy your Gupton Baby!
Fanks. Hopefully I'll have

Odering in this business climate = I'm trimming most of the fat off my order that I can. Seems to be hit-or-miss some orders taking 6+ months? ?

Rubicons and Mojaves seem to be built fairly quickly. However based on my months of watching they seem to build the diesels in batches. So it's a toss up.

I ordered a base Sport and it took forever. Ordered July 27 and didn't get it for pickup until the end of October.

I think Gupton is going solve 90% of your problems. They have a well-established delivery pipeline from Toledo. My anecdotal observations from the forum are that people waiting forever didn't get a Gupton Baby. Diesels will take longer on the whole, but delivery should be good for you.

I ordered a lot of doodads for a pretty quick delivery process (~60 days from order).

If I were building them it would make sense to give the ones with the higher price priority.

Yeah, auto manufacturers get the highest profit margins from the options and upper spec trim levels.

People assume that because of the chip shortage they will crank out Sports left and right. That hasn't been the case at all, based on what me and other Sport order guys have gone through. We are typically back of the line.

My sport took 18 days. It's sat on the dealer lot waiting for me to pick it up longer than it did on the factory line. I'm sure there is some sort of sorting, but I don't think anyone outside of Toledo has been able to figure out who or what gets priority unfortunately.

My ship date of 2/15 to 2/25 is now 2/18 to 3/7.
Renee told me there would likely be a shipping delay and she was right.

Anyone picking up at Gupton 2/21?

Edit:
If your JT is on the lot and you’d like a picture, let me know. I will be there 8AM for pickup, then homeward bound to CO.

I'll be picking up my Overland diesel from Gupton tomorrow. Happy to snap some pictures for any forum members who have Jeep waiting there, just let me know what to look for!
