I’m a bit confused by what you are asking. What do you mean by the wings and awning windows? For the 270degree awning? Please expand explaination.
I'm thinking the poster wants a window to fit the side hatch but doesn't want it to slide, they want it to hing out like an awning. Tern makes similar windows (I had one in an AT Overland Summit) but they won't with the ACCC for the Gladiator. The one I know of that fits is the very expensive and very small one that GP Factor has installed. https://www.gp-factor.com/shop/canopy-camper-side-door-pdh-window-hatch-kit however this has no screen and again is very small.
For the canopy indeed the old available off the shelf option right now is the GP Factor that opens out. I haven’t looked into this myself as we ruled it out due to security reasons and being more stealth when camping. Though if one became available at a reasonable price the window could be tinted to keep that stuff up.
This is a really fantastic mod. Can anyone comment on how difficult it was to get those side filler plates removed with the camper installed? Are you accessing the mounting hardware through the rear window?...For now I have added hinges and a latch (not installed yet in the photos) so we have access to the space between the cab and camper. It is great for storing our dirty clothes, shoes and helmets. Keep the stinky stuff outside.
I accessed the bolts by just reaching around the panel, it was not difficult. The hardest part was pulling the panels away from the mastic. I found that a paint scraper was the easiest way to pry the pieces apart.
How did you route the Brandmotion cable from the camera to the dash?
I thought I saw a video by AC showing the window gull wing option in their new campers. You might want to touch base with your dealer and see if he can order them for you.
Down through the inside electrical channel of the camper and came out below the tailgate area. I then ran everything under the truck along the frame rail. I believe it was about 21' of wire to get it there. I came in through the grommet under the seat and ran up the side of the dash/door to get to the mirror.
If I remember correctly I ran it through the back of the bed and underneath the cab to one of the plugs underneath then routed through the cab to the unit. It wasn’t difficult. Most time was spent cleaning up the install.
I ran mine through the grommet on the passenger side firewalll rather than the floor plug. I do not traverse deep water often but wanted to avoid affecting the plug as much as possible.
Either way. Some Silkaflex will resell any plug making it as watertight as from the factory.
