Installed a Midland MXT275 radio and relocated my 12V plug to under front passenger seat. Lost it when I put the brake controller knob in its place a while back.

- Used the Cricut to color match the KC covers. Wired to Aux 3, so install was a breeze.

- Didn’t like the silver on the door steps, so I disassembled & took a rattle can to them. Happy with the results.

Got my compressor and Spod installed yesterday. I still have to finish the wiring to the battery and the Spod control panel, but i think the hard part is out of the way....


I also installed a different brake light on the Alu-cab. The stock one would have been fine, but I really don't want to cut into factory wiring to get the brake light signal.

I picked up this T harness that plugs into the rear of the 7 pin plug and extended the left and right signals (which include the brake signal) up into the cap.

I installed this brake light which breaks out the brake signal from the turns and gives a sequential turn as well. I did not use the running light connection.

Installed the Rock Hard FAD and front lower control arm rear mount skid plates. The FAD skid plate and the front mount skid plate like the same piece of estate. Had to cut a corner off of the FAD and grind some off of the lower skid plate.

I just swapped out the hinges from my OEM ones and put them on these ones like the other forum member did. You dont have to but i did.

Funny a manufacturer would do that, must be different tolerances from factory. Kind of like how a lot of people have to drill out their rear LCA skids.

On the LCA skids. I had to cut the rear tang off to get the bolt holes to line up.

Removed my soft top, to install trail rails, then the new soft top brackets for the trail rails. Started pouring during, so waiting it out. Wow. Those rivnuts that come with the mopar side trail rails are junk.

Edit: Finished the install. Really nice to now have side trail rails. Thanks to Fas-Top for designing new mounting brackets for Mopar trail rails.

Also did a quick oil change, the first one since the skids went on. No problem at all with the valve.

Fumoto makes a valve that replaces your oil pan plug. You can then pop the supplied hose on, drain into an empty jug with no drips, then shut the valve. It’s fantastic. The below is the part for the 3.6.
