What did you mount the mic with? I would love to get mine at that height and the included double-sided tape failed me in about 24 hours.

After finally working up the courage to cut into my hood, I installed my AEV Snorkel. I'm very happy with the fit and finish.

I copied that from another forum member. I attached magnets to back side of the panel and then one to the back of the mic. it holds really well. I may put some felt over the magnet to keep it from scratching the dash panel. The other member went wheeling and it held up well.

I put 4 on the back of the panel and one on the mic.

I keep the mic in the glove box when not in use.

Closed the front and rear fender gaps with Trim-Lok rubber seals (.25" dia) to prevent gravel and other debris from getting wedged between the body and fenders.
