the difference is jeep calls that normal and we call it death wobble and there is no recall...
Yeah, definitely not the same as what jeep owners call death wobble. That recall is a literal "death" wobble, it says the axle could fall off. That's a much bigger problem than what some folks have with "death" wobble on a jeep.

That definitely doesn't make you feel better now though, while you're out a truck.

Came out of a Tacoma also into a Gladiator. The crazy girlfriend analogy is spot on. Kind of knew the risk of venturing beyond boring a reliable to a Jeep Gladiator with known proclivities for certain issues. You win some and loose some. It is just your turn in the barrel.

There is fine line of having people's sympathies vs. turning into a bitter shrew over something.
fair ill keep myself in check, I couldn't help it with the last one. jeeps are still more reliable than bmws...

also fair, and admittedly I've never had any death wobble like issue at all. I know all makes have issues I just am having issues with being out a truck that I really like for days longer than I even considered possible for a tick

I definitely understand. Timing couldn't be worse. I hope they resolve it soon. What you're not going to find here, even among us jeep enthusiasts, is anyone saying jeeps are the most reliable things in the world, unfortunately. I love my jeep, but a Toyota it is not.

If this might help salvage your vacation plans. Have you considered renting a pickup truck, or van from UHaul for the $19.95/day (they all have hitches & light wiring).
My sister did this when their KIA blew an engine & needed an affordable temporary rental while waiting several weeks for the new engine to arrive. This was during the height of the covid mess in 2020 when rental cars were next to impossible to get from the standard rental companies, and if you did, they wanted an arm & a leg to rent them.
Just a thought...

yes but mileage fees are brutal on uhauls. I'm looking at turo and bumming a friends truck but the told you so from my friend (whom I litterally told if you get a truck get an f150) will be rough.

That's because the switching system ignores anything past 10 digits and JEEPWAVE is easier to remember than JEEPWAV. You can literally enter anything for that last digit and it will work.
I'll try it tomorrow, my phone does not let me enter the last e and complete the call :/
Apparently some do, some don't...

Ha, when I was flying down to Gupton to pick up my gladiator, I asked a buddy for a ride to the airport. He unfortunately didn’t think his truck (2005 F-150) would make it to the airport and back (about 30 mins away). I said, “in a few days, I’ll also know how that feels!” Jeep jokes for the win.

Traded in my BMW convertible for my Jeep. Love the Jeep. I think a lot of what goes on also has a lot to do with the dealership. Mine is awesome! For a warraty issue they had me in the next day, ordered the part which came in in a week, called as soon as it arrived and offered to install it same day. I actually had to ask for a delay so I would have time to take off work to have it done. They followed up to make sure I was happy. They even set up a special text for me with my service advisor for any questions any time. I love my jeep. I thought about the Taco but did not like the interior or the seating position of the driver. Dont get me wrong, I love toyotas. I have an FJ Cruiser and have had another toyota. Also had a Jeep TJ in the past. I have no regrets and learned one thing…to roll with it….Ford let me down with my Bronco order something terrible and Jeep has been a gem to me.

Don’t rely on JeepCares to do anything. They are a marketing ploy at best.
JeepCares is an interface, a communicator. They aren't marketing as there is zip mentioned about them anywhere but forums!
They track troubles, help coordinate with dealers.
They are forum based, nothing more.

really I would like them to realize that if you sell a truck you sorta need to loan out a truck.
Yeah, right - who does that? And who can do it these days when you can't even rent such things in many locations. Good luck with that.

Like posted before - "death wobble" isn't just a Jeep thing. Ford and others have experienced it - even big trucks. It's not restricted to the Jeep name and it's been around for decades.

Jeeps have been among the most reliable vehicles we've owned. No worse, no better.
I had a shimmy/wobble in my F250 that 2 grand worth of new parts couldn't resolve.
It got to the point that the engine couldn't keep up the speed limit while I was towing - dealer said nothing wrong with it.
Automatic hubs gave out when my wife needed the truck the most - and it was stuck broken in the driveway in front of her JEEP, preventing her from going to an appointment while I was in Eugene. She was pissed.
The only truck I never really had problems with was my 2011 Silverado - zero issues.

A marketing ploy to give the illusion of assistance.

Especially in Canada @JeepCares might as well have sent me a dick pick when I reached out.
