After driving mine over every bump I could find I can say that it is no longer bottoming out metal to metal for sure. It is an improvement over what it was for sure.

Could one just order the new front shocks to use on a non-Rubicon diesel? Also is it correct that if I got some Rubicon diesel take-off shocks from a truck built after Feb 22 they would have the improved shocks?

Parts for mine arrived 10 days ago roughly.. Too bad i already lifted my jeep after waiting 6 months for the fix. I told jeep cares the same thing. oh well.
What lift and did it fix the bottoming out issue?

Had the TSB done on my 22 JTRD, about 50% better at best... a 2" lift is the proper fix
Had about 90 miles on the new shocks before the high pressure fuel pump exploded and destroyed the fuel system...
What 2" lift did you do?

I did clayton 3.5" . Fixed the issue. Love the setup, but you can't just lift it and expect good drive quality. It drives better than stock now on 37s. Only after upgrading the tie rod, drag link, new stabilizers bar, driveshaft, and few other things. (Tires killed the comfort most before doing the other addons.)

I had 1.5inch teraflex spacers originally and it helped the issue but only by about 30-40%. I might throw them back on just to gain a bit more clearance from weight of the winch and mounting plate.

Damn brother, you guys are made out of money over here. After reading about this, it appears to be a spring stiffness, and possibly a bump stop problem. So I was thinking hydraulic bump stops and/or a leveling kit with stiffer springs. I'm interested in the links below. They're close to what this guy did:

My garage is too short for much more than 2" lift. What do you think?

I have a 2022 JTRD... but had the Mopar lift installed at the dealership prior to pick-up. Im I good ? I have never experienced the "jolt" described by others... but I haven't harshly Offroaded either.. but looking at the parts list for the MP-lift I dont see jounces listed.... does the 22 diesel already have the new jounces listed in the TSB , is there anything I need to be concerned about or do I need the TSB jounces to make it complete ? Thanks

I could be wrong, but the guys that have had this problem appear to have a different bump stop than you (image cropped) and me. I've just started reading about this today, and I don't yet know if my 2022 Sport S Diesel is affected. Need to go find a speed bump tomorrow or something.

Does t apply to you since you lifted.

I went with the mopar 2” lift to fix the problem. Zero issues now.
I know absolutely dick about anything automotive.....will any old 2" lift solve this problem, or does it require stiffer springs to compensate for the weight of the diesel motor? Consensus appears to be that shocks are not involved.

My build date is 2/17. And I have the updated parts. So If your build date is 2/14 or later. You have the new parts.
Is this true across models? My Sport S was built April 29, 2022 and has 6376AA right and left front springs, which have been shown to be associated with this problem.

Nice ride for sure! Good Job.

A couple questions if you have a minute or 3. I’m on the fence between the 2.5 and 3.5. At any given time I may have to go down to Miami for work and a very high % of the parking garages were built so Oompa Loompa‘s would just miss bumping their heads. Well not quite that bad, but I caught myself just before pulling in one with a non-lifted 2008 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 (that’s 2500 for those still damp behind the ?) and taking the top 2-3” of my windshield up…off!

…so, if you you’d be so kind…what’s the height as it stands in the photo above? In a pinch, I have on board air so ultimately I could air down, but may run the risk of blowing a bead driving in circles on the concrete finding a parking place and I may not present well dripping wet from the humidity.

Also, the best I can tell in your photo, you appear to be running 9” KMC bead-locks with a negative offset. From the angle it looks like about 1/2 of the tire is poking. Is this an illusion? Can you post some “down the side shots” and specifics on the wheels for those of us (me) that are close to pulling the trigger and want to get it right the first time.

A big thanks in advance!!!

I’m sure most 2” lifts will solve it, especially if they are diesel specific.

Even a spacer will help some, if you don’t increase the bump stop.

I can really only guarantee that a 2” lift by spring that is diesel specific fixes it.

Sure, you hit any bump hard enough you’ll still bottom out.

Like the one in this image. But the springs were apparently not improved (6376AA), and a lot of people are complaining that they're insufficient. I've only had the vehicle 2 weeks, so I'm looking in to increasing stiffness and up-travel before I do anything fun with it.

Thanks! When I typed that note my eyelids were slammed open after a 1,800 mile turnaround to Little Rock…I feel you. I’m 2 weeks out from the c myself. Fun times.
