I like my Gobi. Would be great to have something a bit more wild. I tried to get a red one, but Gobi has really gown on me. Maybe some vintage Mopar colors like from the Challenger

Eh, I'm not even sold on Nacho. I'd be interested in Bikini, Anvil, Mojito, or Hella Yella.

Interesting they are adding Nacho, it was discontinued so quickly on the Wrangler in 2018 it never even was available for custom order. My fiance prefers gecko over mojito but I'll stick with my Punkn

I thought Mojito would've been a better choice than Gecko...but I'm just a consumer lol. My wife would trade her bikini pearl rubi in if they had the Mojave in BP. She likes her color better than mine but she's jealous of the Mojave LOL
Gecko is basically Dodge's Green Go or Sublime, while Mojito is Green With Envy Pearl. Both pretty cool.

The CNET article as you read on about towing with the ecodiesel says in the Mojave it gains 500lbs of towing capacity to 6500lbs. Can't get the diesel with the Mojave so i question if any of the info in this article is trustworthy

2021 Jeep® Gladiator Fact Sheet
Auburn Hills, Mich. September 1, 2020 - The 2021 Jeep® Gladiator, engineered from the ground up to be the most off-road capable Jeep truck ever, builds on a rich heritage of tough, dependable trucks with an unmatched combination of rugged utility, authentic Jeep design, open-air freedom, clever functionality and versatility. Powertrain options include a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 with engine stop-start (ESS) and, new for 2021, the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine with ESS. Equipped with a versatile box, a body-on-frame design, front and rear five-link suspension system, solid axles and electronic lockers, Gladiator is one of the few midsize trucks to offer a six-speed manual transmission in addition to its available eight-speed automatic.

Gladiator is built to handle the demands of an active lifestyle while delivering an open-air driving experience in a design that is unmistakably Jeep. A multitude of technology features, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and safety features, such as Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection, adaptive cruise control and Forward Collision Warning-Plus, further Gladiator’s appeal. Combining traditional Jeep attributes with strong truck credentials, the Jeep Gladiator is a unique vehicle capable of taking passengers and cargo anywhere.

New for 2021:
  • Diesel power will be offered across the Gladiator lineup with a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 with ESS

Highlights:
  • Jeep Gladiator’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with ESS delivers 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque and is engineered to provide a broad torque band. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission is optional
  • Gladiator will offer the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine, rated at 260 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque, with ESS
  • To handle greater torque loads, the EcoDiesel V-6 connects to a TorqueFlite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission, calibrated for low rpm shifts

  • Standard electronic stability control (ESC), electronic roll mitigation, trailer-sway control, Hill-start Assist and brake traction control are among more than 80 available safety and security features

Model Lineup

For 2021, the Gladiator lineup consists of five models:
  • Sport
  • Sport S
  • Overland
  • Mojave
  • Rubicon
Available Exterior Colors:
  • Bright White
  • Granite Crystal
  • Billet Silver
  • Black
  • Firecracker Red
  • Sting Gray
  • Hydro Blue
  • Sarge
  • Snazzberry
  • Nacho
  • Gecko
Available Interior Colors:
  • Black
  • Heritage Tan
  • Steel Gray
The Gecko looks more like Hyper Green (I think is what it was called) Jeep ran Gecko for a couple of years and it was a great color, the Hyper Green was more pale, didn't pop quite as well. This years "Gecko" looks too pale. The Snazzberry actually looks pretty good. I googled it and while I wouldn't choose it, it's pretty sharp.

I commented above before I saw this...the "new color" looks more like Hyper Green than Gecko. It's too pale.

I tried ordering a Gobi one day too late. I still really like Gobi, but finding one locally would cost thousands more than factory ordering a Jeep with all of my options.

Well I’m glad I bought when I did and didn’t wait.
I had EcoDiesels before and will not be trying one of those again. The new colors are kinda neat though! Nice to see some more colorful variety out there and a more military-color for those that like that.

Punk'n is so much better than Nacho, I don't know why they made that change. I love my Sublime Ram so it will be interesting to see a Gecko Gladiator, but my wife said I'm only allowed to have one lime green vehicle at a time so I'll be keeping the Punk'n JT too. :)

Ok, I remember when they had said hood and doors were aluminium but not any of the other stuff. I presume "Fenders" in this case is referring to quarter panels? Or is the reason that all but the base Sport have painted fenders now... because they're making them out of aluminum and needing to paint them? That'd be a curious change.

But maybe they've said they were aluminum all along and I just missed it.

Edit: They've said aluminum all along.
I saw a youtube video that tested with a magnet and it came out that the shell of the cab and the bed of the truck were the only parts not aluminum....so, pretty much firewall back minus doors, top, tailgate (and of course fender flares) are not aluminum
