So do all trims have rubicon/mojave fenders now? I noticed it first with the latest Willys, now with this Sahara trim.
Those are bumpers from the Sahara Wrangler trim. Rubicon bumpers are steel and multi-piece.

So they are taking a Sport S with the Premium Package and bundling it up and renaming it a Sahara.

Well, that simplifies that, at least.
If this follows the Wrangler playbook, Sahara (like Overland before it) should be more than a Sport S with a Premium package.

Sahara normally includes nicer interior pieces (padded leather-covered door armrests, rear center fold down armrest, dashboard covering, contrasting stitching everywhere), added sound insulation, painted fenders, painted roof, big brake package, LED headlights, turn signals and fog lights, etc.

Until recently, Sahara included standard side-steps but, for some reason, Jeep decided to make them an extra cost option a few years back.

It appears so. They look like the Mopar high clearance fenders on that photo.

I never understood the need to have so many different fenders, bumpers, interiors, etc. For instance, there are like five different sets of fenders: Sport/Willys in black; Sahara color matched, Rubicon in black, Rubicon color matched, High Altitude color matched.

If I were Mr. Stellantis, I would make one set of fenders, available in black or painted; one set of plastic bumpers plus optional steel bumpers, same interior available in cloth or leather, etc. Some simplification would help reduce manufacturing costs. Especially when 90% of buyers cannot even tell these minute differences.

More like bringing back the Overland trim. It was always basically the same thing as a Sahara on the wranglers but they didn’t cal it Sahara for whatever reason.

I get that, but this new Sahara is literally the Sport S with the premium package. If you go build a Sport S right now and add premium, you get those 18" wheels, the McKinley seats and painted everything. So yea its the 'Overland' but they are literally just bundling two things currently offered under another model name.

Again not a bad thing. Simplifies matters I reckon.

They were optional for Overland in 22.

Go build a Sport S. Its the Premium Package on a Sport S named Sahara. Which, is fine. Lol. Just saying.

But yes the intent is to fill the old Overland slot, I know.

The Overland dash and other things were a lot different than Sport - I've had two Overland.
It was more than a "premium" package in the earlier years.
The ride was also a lot better than the other levels. The Overland had very different springs.

Nice Sahara package. It just needs lockers F & R , a 4:1 transfer case and 4.88s with 37s. I just want it all.

Guess we'll see for sure when someone gets their hands on one.

Naw, the premium package on the sport tosses in max tow, 4.10 gears and such. It won't ride the same at all.
The ride of the Sahara (old Overland) will be far better than a sport.

Sounds like the Sport Premium is the best one then 😜
