It's an OK motor, it has its issues, leaking oil filter housings, the 3-6 tick, and the occasional poor soul that experiences the dreaded valve-train failure.
I had to get mine warrantied for a leaking valve cover gasket, one of the more common failures (but failures in general are somewhat rare), so it is what it is. While I won't say I'm gentile with my truck, I do make sure I do the maintenance, so it's still a bit disappointing that I had an issue.
With that said, if I do blow it up, ideally the truck is getting a Hemi.
