Hello everyone. I have been following this thread for a while and finally created an account because I just wanted to let you know that I got my paddles working yesterday after updating my Tazer. There was an update released on 4/6/22. It still shares the ongoing issue of not showing current gear once you press the paddle but it does atleast work.

I dont have the paddles yet but updated my tazer randomly yesterday and saw the option in the menu for them. I was surprised and came here to see if anyone had tried the program yet. Glad they work, cant wait to order and install the paddles now!

Any ideas folks?

The shifters work except for this little glitch.

Also, I don’t have the “UpShift” indicator in the cluster.

Did you use j scan or another programmer to activate first?

I tried with JScan but was unsuccessful because I didn't have a Gateway Bypass Cable. Every time I try to activate shifters the App would time out. Hours later I read here that a new TAZER update added a Paddle Shift toggle under the "Other" submenu. Did the update, flipped the switch, Paddle Shifters active.

The Tazer acts as a bypass. I used alpha obd to program my paddles with the Tazer as the bypass. I ended up unmarrying my Tazer, use alpha obd to set the tire size and paddles and then remarry. I love the Tazer live features, but hate unmarrying and losing tire settings for service. Now when I unmarry, I still have all my settings.

If I want to update my Tazer, do I have to unmarry it before removing for the update or can I just take it off and update it?

I just take it off, update it and plug it back in.. Ill do a "Full Reboot" for good measure when it's plugged back in.

Don’t enable the paddle shifter CSM. It doesn’t function on our Jeeps and isn’t necessary. None of the MOPAR vehicles that currently come with paddle shifters have that enabled.

You won’t get an upshift indicator. The Jeep will shift on its own at redline if you haven’t shifted yet.
