Correct. You use a security bypass cable, the bluetooth module and the JSCAN app with a VIN license to allow the radio to "see" the switches.
Perfect. Thank you. I have the cable and the jscan should be in today.

For mine, all I needed and used was the Tazer to activate after installation and all was well. The switches showed up in the setup and I configured how I wanted the switches to work.

Get the VOSWITCH from Amazon instead. It’s only 250 and you get two more added switches.

What that switch though, I assume it doesnt become integrated into the radio setup like factory does?

What is the benefit of having it integrated into the radio?

@93civej1 its the VOSwitch. It doesn’t have to be calibrated by any programmers.

the only benefit of having it integrated to the radio (mopar aux switch) is you can set up functions on the screen.

I too have the VOSwitch and all you need is to attach the positive to battery and ground to chassis. The ignition is optional.

I’m also using the mopar tray as my VOSwitch tray came broken...they did send me a new one but I got the mopar for cheap. I prefer the mopar as it’s slightly deeper and mounting points are thicker.

Can someone confirm whether the factory-installed Aux Switches dim to match the rest of the dashboard?
I can.
I had a 2021 JTR with factory installed auxiliary switch and it came with the BATT and ACC wires in the interior harness.
I now have a 2021 JTDR that did NOT come with the auxiliary switch from the factory. I just finished installing it today. The MOPAR auxiliary switch kit harness has no interior BATT or ACC wires in its harness.

And the MOPAR instructions are pretty terrible. They leave a lot left to the imagination. Especially for the Diesel owners.

Hi guys. Quick question. I bought the Mopar Aux switch kit to install, appreciate all the feedback. Trying to research before I dive in. Question, if I don’t need / want to route interior legs on the passenger side - assume for interior accessories, do I need to in order for kit to work after Jscan or Tazor?

Im planning to only wire exterior lights at this time, wanted to try and avoid that part (seems like a pain) if I can?

Thanks in advance!

You have to at least run the orange wire in as well as the wires for the switch panel. That's like 60% of the harness right there. May as well run the interior wires. Why not do it? Super easy to wire an air compressor under the seat with an Aux channel.

Thank you! Just seems like a lot of people struggle with getting through grommet / depinning etc. Was hoping to avoid hassle if I could. Will dive into this weekend. Thanks again for confirmation.
Appreciate it.
