Whatever you want...I can supervise!
Imo id go smaller lift and 35’s based on what youre saying. I think the 3.5” of lift will make the 35’s look too small.

do an AEV 2” spacer lift. It will ride really good, use a D load range 35” and itll look good and ride great. A 3.5” lift is going to make you want to fill the gap I think.
KurtP...why the 2" spacer lift and not the AEV 2 1/2 suspension lift? Cost?

the aev dual sport 2.5 is 2.5” with bumpers and winch etc. i think itll end up looking a bit wonky and like it needs 37’s which is seems like op wants to avoid. On an otherwise stock truck it ends up being 3.5” iirc.

that said, nothing wrong with the aev dual sport. Its really well engineered.

35” x 11” Toyo AT3. Leveled the front of my sport model a touch with rubicon springs and a .5inch spacer. Hated the 3.71 with a manual transmission so installed 4.88.

Just to confirm are these the 35x11.50 or 285/75? Also, no lift in the back and just rubicon springs and .5” spacer in front? I plan to just go with the same tires and a 1.5” spacer in front for the same result.

Also make sure to get the lowest load rating available. These trucks aren’t heavy enough to run more than load D without feeling every crack in the pavement.
You got that right.. I just switched to 35x12.5R17 Toyos in E-Rated from the stock Bridgestone 31.5s and it is bone chattering. I feel every road imperfection.

I lost many a nights sleep pondering the same questions when I built my gator. I ultimately went 37's because I know myself well enough to know I would have had tire size envy and ended up buying 37's at some point :(. IMO you would want to regear if you go with the 37's. If that is not in the budget I would recommend going w/ a 2-2.5 lift and 35's. Good luck making the decision!

I wrestled with that for a brief time and went 37s I admit I was nervous looking at how big the tire was compared the rubicon stock falken but on the drive home and since then I have no regretted it. Now my typical commute is about 375 miles one way once a week down and back. Starts at 3400 ft goes through the mts down to the Central Valley then up the grapevine to 4400 ft near Gorman ca. There. I take it off road just to see if I can get it to rub. So far. Not that’s just a mile or so but it usually has mud some foot deep, ruts that I deliberately stick a tire into and at one point a sharp turn and steep 26degree drop off. Nope no rubbing.thats off Ralph’s ranch. Road
On the the freeway I’ll be doing 75/look at the tach and see it’s just turning. 2000 rpm. Yes flat ground. Doesn’t hunt gears any more than the stock tires did.
I’ll add a lift but a very small one no more than 3.5. And maybe regear. But I don’t really feel like I need it.

One thing about regearing is say I go to 488 my rpm will go up but will I be getting more hp or torque? the curves are pretty flat.

I went with 35s for the practical reasons. Mine are Cooper Evolution MTs. They only weigh 64lbs. Which is really light for a 35. They feel the same as my stock Falken 33s. Plus I’m running them on my stock wheels.

Is that on OEM suspension?

thanks looks good, helps you choose the best color too!
no problem. I do like the color, but I really wanted stinggrey. My last three cars have been grey. I really need to start branching out on my color choices.

Here is my rubicon on 37 x12.5 BFG ko2 going off a flat spot on to a. 26 degree slope yes that is stock suspension on stock wheels no rubbing. Only when I back up and turn hard left like really hard you know that las 1/4 inch when the power steering pump makes a little groan does it rub

37s look better but I went with 35s for two reasons

1. My JT is my DD
2. I don't want to regear yet
