Sorry if this should go somewhere else. Ten days ago my Gladiator with 5000 miles signals a “stop start service system” warning. I pull over, shut down and restart. Clears it. Drive a little ways and then a new warning “vehicle will shut down soon, please go to a safe place”. Before I could pull off, dead. With every light twinkling.

Had to find the release pull for neutral and get pulled off the road.
Dealer replaced the small battery, then found faults and blown fuses. It will be another week for a relay and new fuses, etc.

Stopped at the dealer today to request a loaner. What a nightmare. Went out to get my insurance info - and here’s what I find. Jeep parked, windows down with plastic bags over them, the day after a hurricane rolled through. Soaked. Everything.

Treated like crap when I complain. Treated like crap when getting the loaner. Curious what you guys think I should do/ask for. Already concerned about electrical gremlins. Now soaked inside.

Dealer is Jeep Ram Chrysler of Franklin TN

Sorry to hear about what happened to your truck. We had the same message come up recently about the stop/start feature being disabled. We brought it to the dealership and were told that it’s happening because we’re doing a considerable amount of local driving with constant stopping and starting. The battery that is used for this feature is small and doesn’t have adequate time to recharge. It kind of makes sense. Just be aware and you might possibly want to disable stop/start when driving around town. I know, it kind of defeats the purpose of the feature to begin with. This is an oversight when this was designed. The battery should be larger and it would be nice if battery voltage low was monitored and system automatically disabled feature without this error message. The dealership should take care of you. Good luck.

Sorry about your pain my friend. I hate to bug you with this but I like a lot the rims on your rig. Do you know the brand or model for those? Thanks.

thats interesting. And pretty true of my driving of the vehicle - but I do turn it off a lot given it shuts the AC down.

One time when I had an really bad issue with a dealership I went directly to the owner. Different issue completely but I did a little research on what I could legally do to them and made some threats and wouldn't you know all of my problems diapered. Car dealers are in the same category as lawyers, they are a necessary evil.

Just seems like a bad experience across the board. It’s only got 5k miles, I’d try and loop in FCA so you get taken care of.
Yes contact FCS.
NO excuse for this. At the very least the whole interior should come out and be professionally cleaned and dried. Your insurance company might do it and fight it out with the dealer. This is no different if the Jeep got hit on their parking lot. It's their fault. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!
Call FCA. Looks like an attempted stolen vehicle. Either way, brand new !!!
I’d request a new truck !!!!
Not eirth anything now!!!!!

I would second the suggestion to contact Corporate. You will likely get nowhere with such a dealer. I doubt there's anyone to call, but you can probably send email and certainly send a good, old-fashioned snail mail letter. No kidding, those things, when short and polite, can actually end up on a CEO's desk!

But again, have you contacted Jeep Cares?

The dealer and Jeep should replace your vehicle with no financial penalty to you. You need to be ready to provide significant bad publicity about this dealership. Do any of the local TV stations have a consumer watchdog that can get this on the news?

Yeah. Door electrics are all shieleded pretty well, rugs are designed to drain and dry. I would just insist they owe you a full interior/exterior detail when you choose.
What I can’t get past is that they can’t fix it right away and don’t just cough up a loaner.
The mold smell will be there for years, he needs a new Jeep

I think you're correct about that. While Jeep interiors are designed to survive some water, it sounds like the dealer let it sit to bake in the Tennessee sun and humidity for days with plastic over the windows. That's a sure fire recipe for mold.
