what’s the chances of a hemi gladiator? better than the PHEV? Of course there are international market standards to comply with.

Asking for a friend.
Out the window? Yeah. Ok. That guy was playing to his base and it was just words. Companies don't plan their futures on fakebook and instacrap posts like that.

There's several threads on this already - with one of them getting regular update posts from an FCA employee. Don't look for it or count on it. Not going to happen any time soon if at all.
The 4xe gives close to V8 performance, and that seems to be their leaning.

EDIT - found the thread I was referring to........

of course you’re aware the BBB really did set CAFE fnes to $0.

chevy is looking to convert a plant that was supposed to produce EVs in Buffalo to making v8s.

The fines have been set to 0, but the law was never repealed and couldn't be under Senate rules, so, the next administration can put the fines right back again.

Chevy is doing its thing not because of the law, but because the EV thing didn't explode as certain people hoped. It was planned before the BBB from what I've seen.

Don't look for all of this to last more than about 4 years. Midterms could change a lot of this.

There are no plans for a V8 in the JT. I'm still looking for that thread - it's not even being looked at, at this point in time.
They still must sell in other countries to survive.

I'm answering for a friend...

You will not see a Gladiator with a factory installed V8.

we are 2 yrs out from the contract agreement for the Gladiator production. 2020-2028. We have higher odds of the dropping the model rather than adding a V8. swaps did get cheaper tho, we are looking at 30ish grand for a full swap rather than 45k like it was a few years ago. the main issue with adding a V8 to the gladiator is its payload and towing capacity. Like on the ecodiesel. No one wants to buy a trim that technically has a greater mechanical capacity but due to rules the V6 will simply be rated for more. I generally only have 600ish left of payload running my full kit. adding a hemi to that would cost me an additional 200 ish pounds. 400lb payload after that will barely cover passengers. There's not really a way to add a hemi and keep a 1000lb payload rating.

You guy's watch TK Garage? He lives in a Motel 8 in Florida and has sources.

He often posts videos confirming my biases, so I believe everything he says, even when he posts videos that directly conflict one another within days.

Maybe if he showered at a Holiday Inn Express, he might be taken more seriously.

You guys are haters.

People in their basements have sources.

You just don't know.

They've already done ten told you so videos even though not one thing has come to pass.
