I bought the 2020 Gladiator first. It was such a big upgrade on my 2004 TJ Rubicon that I decided I had to have a newer Wrangler. I bought the Blue 2020 JLUR a couple of years ago. I've been very happy with both vehicles. Both of my Jeeps have 3.6 engines and 35" tires. I've never felt like I needed more power. The Gladiator rides a little better than the Wrangler, mostly because they come stock with soft suspension settings. The noise levels are similar after I added a liner to the Wrangler's Power Sky Top. If I was buying again, I'd skip the Power Sky Top. The Gladiator has cloth seats, and the Wrangler has leather seats. The leather looks nice, but the cloth seats are more comfortable. Last year I added a shelf in the rear of the Wrangler. The shelf is a big upgrade for getting groceries or going on trips.I’m thinking about buying a Wrangler. Anybody have one?
I’d appreciate any insight on ride, road noise and power.
I’ve read mostly praise for the 2.0 4cyl turbo. Seems like that should be plenty for a small vehicle, but interested in any and all opinions.
I have a Gladiator, my wife drives the 2.0 Wrangler 2 door. Hers moves 35's like they're nothing, and turns on a dime. There is NO ROOM in the two door but you kinda know that if you're looking at them. She gets the same gas mileage as I do. The sound is weird, especially on cold start. Not something I'd try to make sound better either. I have an AFE rock basher exhaust on my gladiator and I love the sound. The turbo has impressed me so far.I’m thinking about buying a Wrangler. I used to do that.Bed is nice to put stuff when going naked, so it won't fly out of the Jeep.
