Wouldn't it be in the Soviet Union? ?The best gas comes from the soviet union if you can find it.

Interesting thanks for that study link. It correlates what I've kind of suspected. It's not as simple as calculating the energy content and claiming you'll see a decrease. My big gripe with this study is the limited number of miles traveled. Each test only covered around 300 miles. So with that few miles there isn't much statistical relevance. The data was also computer logged vs measured fuel usage, this adds more uncertainty.
What planet would you like to live on?Threads like this make me not want to live on this planet anymore.
That's interesting. I do actually get the cheap gas in the afternoon on the way home from work and Exxon in the morning on the way to work.I dont think the provider matters nearly as much as what time of day you buy gas. The colder the weather, the more dense the gas. So if you fill up at peak heat in the afternoon, your MPGs will be less.
I drink Seafoam straight from the can. It cures all my ailments.Well,
I have seen this on the site a lot. My personal data has shown a couple of things. Top Tier, better mileage. On a side note, I had a wrangler that burned 1qt of oil ever 2k. After my mechanic flushed the system out with seafoam... never burned a quart between changes. He told me to occasionally use premium top tier and add sea foam. Never had a problem after that, and better mileage. I see the science behind what most are saying, and I am not a mechanic, but I can only say what I see.
Thus why the gas is so valuableThere has not been a Soviet Union for more than 30 years.
You must have a long-ass commute ! And a huge gas bill !That's interesting. I do actually get the cheap gas in the afternoon on the way home from work and Exxon in the morning on the way to work.
With gas prices as they are in California, and a Costco right around the corner, that’s my gas. I do notice better mileage and power when I fill up in Nevada.I used to be a big, "find the cheapest gas guy". I would go to your local convenience store (Wawa or 7-11) or use my points and get grocery store gas. My brother told me that every 4th fill up I should use "name" brand gas (Shell or Exxon) to prevent gunk build up in the engine and fuel system. So, I started going to Exxon every 4th fill up and I noticed my gas mileage went up. I would get 18 mpg with cheap gas, just driving and not focused on driving to conserve fuel. After going to Exxon every 4th fill up, my gas mileage went up to 19. So, I started going every fill up and I am now up to 20 mpg.
I am just curious if anyone has experimented with this or if anyone wants to do this experiment. Does name brand gas get you better gas mileage than off brand gas? I have a Sport with 18" Overland Wheels, Automatic, Drive back roads and highway on a daily basis. I am not in stop and go traffic other than stop lights. I will cruise between 65 and 75 mpg. I am trying to give as much info as possible since a lot of things go into gas mileage.
Premium fuel burns hotter, can't imagine it would be best to run 91 long term?I noticed the truck runs like crap on crap gas. I just stick to Chevron 91 and it's happy.
