I dropped a swing case and it shattered. Buy the knock off or just get a bin. As for the softopper, it has bars that drop below the bedrail, so you have to cut out a chunk of the deck on both sides. If you want to go this route, the other 3 options for soft tops on the bed do not need this to be done.
Thanks for the update! I already have both the softopper and rack installed. Do I need to remove the topper before I install the sliders? Or can I notch out, then install, leaving the top in place?

Never done it, don't have either. There's a few people that have done it. Easiest way is to have the Softopper in place, measure where the bars go low, and then trace that onto the Decked to cut.

I have the ZroadZ full sized rack on my bed and the Decked system (single drawer). I was concerned with the space above the deck and below the top of the rack as well as the space to fit my coolers though the hinge point. My second cooler is slightly shorter, so I know it will fit great. Now the tough part will be either filling the coolers once in place, or lifting (hopefully full coolers) onto the deck. Great problems to have at elk camp. I have since added a lift and 37" tires making my problem even better. From the hinge point of the Zroadz to the top of the deck, I measured around 20 1/2". The one thing I want to add is either make my own or purchase the Zroadz front piece to prevent gear from sliding forward into my rear window. Making my own would entail picking up a plasma cutter and I really like the sound of that!
On the Decked system. I couldn't be happier. I gained a lot of storage space and still have two rear corners for putting stuff. The front corners will hold some small things but the wheel well takes up most of the front corner space.

I considered, and then rejected, the DECKED Drawer system.

I went with the DECKED CargoGlide slide out, which I am very happy with, and would highly recommend.

It allows me to change things around, at any time, without problem.

Might be something others might find better, and more useful, as I have.

Mine, came with the decked system already installed. It is nice to hold all my recovery gear but I don't need it all the time. I think I will probably remove it and just install it when I go on trips where I need it. I do find it more of a pain not being able to have full use of the bed or anything that goes on top has to be strapped down instead of just being put in the bed.

I recently installed the single drawer system and I like it. My JTR is primarily used for overlanding/car camping and I have a sleeper canopy on top. I wanted a way to fit all the stuff that I want to carry but still have a nice flat area to be able to get in and out of my camper without hassling with a bunch of stuff. I like the single drawer system better than the 2 drawer. Less wasted space.

John, I bought the original two drawer Decked and had the same concerns as you regarding carry large items. I installed the Maximus 3 Sport bar for the side rails. As you can see they give me alot of sidewall height and tie down options. I plan to sell my Decked and get the new single Drawer system. I like all the new features and extra storage space.

I built those out of scrap metal. I used 2” perforated tubing and welded a bent piece of flat stock that bolts into my trail rail. It’s not mounted to the Decked. The knobs are from roll bar mounting brackets and the lock from a Blue Ox towbar lock that I welded onto the 2” square tube.

installed, time to organize the drawer and modify to accept the softopper

I have a softopper and considering the Decked system. Did you end up modifying the Decked by cutting a hole in it? I was looking at the Softopper linkage and clamps that hang down and after loosening the screws I was able to raise the bars high enough. I am thinking it may make more sense to move the two clamps (one at the bottom v and the one in the middle towards the back) slide the bars up, screw in the clamps in the new spot then cut the end of the bar that is contacting the Decked. Doing this lowers the front bow a little bit and raises the middle one a bit. Dont think it would look off from the outside.

Just a thought! I will certainly share if I decide to go down that path.

Cheers

I've got a couple questions for those that have the single drawer with no additional bed cover.

1. How water proof do you find the main drawer companent to be?

2. How much luggage do you think the drawer would hold. There are 4 of us that frequently go on short week long trips and take smaller carryon sized rollers or similar sized tote bags. Wanted to know how much would fit in the drawer.

I have a cover on mine but it’s supposed to be weather tight. It will still get humid inside depending on the weather conditions. Drawer height is the main limiting factor at just under 8 inches so measure your bags and go from there. I just did a 6000 mile road trip and had it loaded down with tools and a rolling duffle bag not stuffed to the brim will fit in there. Haven’t tried my hard shell carry on bags.

I am loving the single drawer system by the way. With a canvas bed cap like a Softopper or Bestop supertruck2 bed cap that I am running it is perfect.
