No problem, they are both good guys. I'm very ready to get my hands on the rack as I have some add-ons I'm ready to start designing. Flip up side panels and the like, but I need to get the rack first.?

Because I mounted to the tonneau cover I'm able to have an 8" longer rack than the standard Gladiator one. So now I'm waiting on new 50" rails.

These mounts are rock solid though, I'm able to rock the entire truck with just one rail.

50" side and top rails should be here next Tuesday, hoping to get them mounted after we pick up our new travel trailer.

Trying to decide X4S between X4S and Undercover Armor. Really like the t-slots on the X4S but no immediate need for them. Undercover can use the Elevate TS rails which look a bit more sturdy.

Anyone have the X4S installed with OEM trail rail system? Does it utilize the trail rail for installation?

It mounts above the trail rail system so you have no interference.

Pretty straight forward install. I have spray in liner so probably just need to clear out those mounting points and mount it.

I don’t have a mountain bike handy, but here’s how it looks with the OEM Trail Rail. When the tonneau is rolled up it’s about 9” to clear the cover. It’s 17” from bed to bottom of the tonneau. See pics.

Does anyone know what size the t slot nut is?

I've been trying to figure the same thing out - I want to get a set of cargo tie-down loops and some slot nuts so that I can tie light things on top if I need to. The cover is rated for 400 pounds or so on top I think. I'd be surprised if I ever have more than 100-150, but it'd be a cheap option to be able to.

I just measured with a digital caliper and came up with the following:

Table Slot - 10.5mm
A - 20.8MM
B - 5.5MM
C - 9.5MM

The part that I find hard to find is measurement B. There are a bunch on Amazon that are for Taco bed rails apparently, but the measurement for B on them is thicker at just under 8MM, so that wouldn't work.

If anyone finds slot nuts that work, please pass them along!

Shout out to Bak Industries for honoring a warranty issues. I had the first gen X4 and experienced the shrinking vinyl + felt detachment. They sent the X4S and I couldn’t be happier with the updated design.

I bought the tonneau though 4WP, and they wanted to charge me to install the replacement. Decided against using 4WP and went to a local Jeep shop. No charge to install! Props to Bikini Offroad for winning my future business and providing outstanding customer service.

4WP… step it up!

I ordered these from McMaster-Carr and they fit pretty well on my x4. The 5/16-18 thread fit the bolts I was using, but there are other options.
