Bed Molle Attachment Items?

Finally getting the molle panels to go in my bed, and have already mapped out where to attach what.

The question is: what are the best items to actually ATTACH things with? Straps? Locking mechanisms?

What do you all use back there, besides paracord and a lot of patience?

It all really depends on what you’re attaching. I think of the molle panel as the base plate and everything that’s going on it needs a bracket. A proper bracket for the items you’re going to mount will save you tons of headache in the future. Ratchet straps are good for the quick tie down of something you need to stay in place for a trip but as a permanent solution they get old really really fast. Post a list of the items you want to mount and you’ll get all sorts of recommendations for mounts.

Is that extra water or fuel that you have in the extra tank? Any more photos? I like the filler setup, nice work!

Thought so, it looked plumbed through the bed

Yeah, exactly. Plumbing ended up being a bit complex as there’s the 1.5” fill tube, a 3/4” fill vent back to the filler neck (the diesel foaming and splashback if you get this wrong is shocking, ask me how I know), a 5/16” vent hose through the bed to the stock tank vent (for pressure relief), and the 5/16” fuel line through the bed to the stock fill line adapter. Sorry for thread derail…

+1 to quick-fists. The hole in the middle of those is small, like only 1/4-20/M6 or so. It’s not hard to enlarge with a drill for a sturdier bolt if needed

Zip ties and small straps from whatever came with them. I always have extra zip ties and something to cut with in my gear.

How did you attach those to the panels? I don’t see any hardware in the kit, or I missed it ??

Screw and washer thru the hole in the quick fist, thru the panel, washer and nut behind the panel. Or go wild with zip ties maybe
