I disagree respectfully. Read all the postings about the lifter issue. Jeep was well aware of the design flaw and continued to sell them. There would not be a class action lawsuit if it was only a few “bad apples”. A significant number suffer from this problem.
You should get a new Bronco and report back in 30 days. ?

I have the bronco with the 2.7 and the JT with the pentastar. I’ll let you know which ones holds out longer. The pentastar is at 26k without issues. Bronco is only at 6k.

I had a 2015 4Runner that had engine trouble at about 5k. So even the most reliable engines can have problems.

There is a certain batch of 2020 Gladiator that had lifter issues - It's somewhere in the forums. It is not "ALL GLADIATORS" it's only a batch between 2020 3-4 months. You can check your VIN. Most dealerships are idiots. Look for a new one or just wait. I'm loving my Gladiator Magnuson SC, without any issues (knock on wood)

I sincerely doubt this. There have been some fuel pump issues and a wiring harness issue but the diesel does not have engine eating itself issues. My 2020 gasser was a ticking rattling rough idling low mpg POS.

The 3.0L turbodiesel is drastically better in every way. There is a recall on the fuel pumps coming but that is not a jeep issue that a all turbo diesel (bosh) issue.
It's a diesel engine designed in Italy. Trust me. It's less reliable.

Some how some way.

Heck, I'm from Italy. Hurts to say it.

Glad I’ve never had a 2020 to be concerned

The fact that he thinks something like this designed in Italy is more reliable than something made in the US is laughable.

Uhh, I would be concerned that it is consuming coolant... The coolant system should be closed loop, only limited number of places it can go...
I feel for the guy, he’s been patiently waiting for FCA to make it right for far too long, should’ve been resolved by now

It's ok to be wrong. Don't worry buddy we aren't upset.

This sounds exactly like a dealer issue at the end of the day. You should have had this back already if your dealer cared about you at all.

meh, 150K on my 3.6 minivan engine, tons of time sitting and ideling in carpool/parking lots too and still running like a top. It's not my favorite engine by far, but it's not my biggest worry on my gladiator

re read his post….. ?‍♂

though to counter his post. We have a 2006 crd Liberty with 140k miles- diesel was made by the same motori as the 3.0 only issue is the EGR gets gummed up every 40k miles….. (oh wait- so does almost every diesel egr….. just not as quick)

Definitely agree with others that the dealership is a big part of the issue. Yes, some engines have issues, but I had an outstanding experience with my situation. Mine developed a tick/knock above 3K rpm and on cold starts. I took it in with 41K miles on the clock. Took it in to my local dealership (who I did not buy the vehicle from), and in 2 days they had a tech drive to upstate NY to pick up a brand new crate motor. It was installed in a day and a half. Had it back in exactly one week. Mine suffered from "multiple connecting rod bearing failure". All oil changes were performed at the dealership under the Jeep Wave program, and per the recommended schedule.

I'm sorry to hear about your issues.

As far as your "deprecation", there is a 50/50 chance the work doesn't even show up on a CarFax, and even if it does, it likely will have little to no impact on the value of your vehicle…
I agree. I had an early TJ, that I was involved in one of those set-up accidents in. It was totaled by USAA. Out of curiosity, year later I pulled the VIN on Carfax to find out it was sold in Louisiana with a clean title. No history of an accident or salvage title. Carfax is crap.
