I can’t see a thing in the backup cam when backing up in the dark.

Even if I turn off the headlights to decrease the glare from the license plate lights, I still can’t see.

Are there any recommendations for brighter bulbs to cast a little (lot) more light?

I threw a couple of high output LEDs in the sockets for the back up lights. Made quite a difference.

Diode Dynamics have very bright backup LED replacement bulbs. I bought the more expensive set and can see much better at night. I recommend getting the JL Tazer Mini for your Gladiator as this will turn off the license plate lights when in reverse. So much better when backing up without lens flare from the license plate lights. Just one of many that Zautomotive.com has programmed for the Tazer JL Mini.

I got some rigid ignite floods and used a black plastic abs sheet to replace the red reflectors in the bumper. Tapped into the trailer harness. Works great.

I wired mine in so they come on in reverse, and also to one of the auxiliary switches so I can run them any time I want, even with the truck off and in park. (that's why you don't see the factory tail and backup lights on in this pic)
They come on with the factory reverse lights, or when I use an aux switch to turn them on.

I've had these in two JTs now and would do it again.

This picture was taken about mid-morning with the morning sun shining in that east window and the garage lights on. What you see is the white shadow cast by the Oracle backup lights in my JT's bumper sitting about 20 feet in front of the car.

The Oracle bumper lights in conjunction with the Oracle flush mount tail lights is a nice combo.......all the light you need. And this was with the tailgate done

I've had "at least 6 TBIs" per the VA, so I'm super sensitive to light (too much or not enough). This has been the ticket for my needs

Is it necessary to remove the bumper to install the oracle lights?
No! No splicing wires either, just unplug a connector from underneath and plug in the new harness. Zip tie it in a few places and you are done.

Do you have a part # and/or where you purchased them from.
