We're under GVW with a full load (8 passemgers). It's on the Mopar 2" lift/Fox shocks.
8 passengers, average of only 150 puts you at 1200 pounds - what's the door sticker say for PAYLOAD???
Add in your seat setup and anything else that has been added to the weight of 8 people and you are probably well over 1400 pounds....with much of that weight sitting well back on the frame........................

I'm going to bet the "cage" built to protect passengers wasn't built very well or tied into the frame properly? If it were it would have either prevented this or bent too.

The JT is a Max Tow Sport. Payload 1725. We would be right at that with a full compliment of guests & guide.

The payload sticker actually says 1725, then. A lot of that weight would - as already said multiple times, be to the rear of the fulcrum point - even the shock mount acts as a fulcrum point because the shock resists sudden changes - for a moment it can act as a solid.

those poor things are being maxed out to the max. unless you weigh each person,, I bet you are over that sticker payload - Americans today, well, we don't go there because I'm among them.

Someone else posted it, but here it is queued to the key part of the video.
Thanks so much for posting this, I'll post internally for the staff to see. We'll need to add some form of reinforcement, but step one the drivers have to drive within the suspensions capability. The five JTs we have are identical and were never intended to do high speeds on the trails.

FYI, the JT in question does have the added factory bracket inside the bump stop cups.

The guy who welded up the cages for us can probably design some frame reinforcement plates. Highly experinced guy, used to be the master builder for Avalanche Engineering. Did race buggies, Baja rigs, etc. Doews all the welding and fab work on my personal JK.

Yeah, but it makes doing wheelies sooooo much easier. And funner. Good times!! Till the frame breaks. LOL

For the (good natured!!!!) OP - maybe have one of those "pass thru" signs / gatekeepers like Disneyland where if you can't fit between two closely spaced steel bars, you can't go on the trip. Space em about 18" apart? :D :D :D

We do get some guests you wonder if the Jeep won’t roll unless you make them sit in the middle of the back seat.

I had an old CJ5 way back in the 80s and early 90s. I had a passenger one time who was close to 400 lbs, and cornering was a white knuckle event that day.

Yes, the bed seating accommodates six belted passengers.
How much does that seating setup weigh without people sitting in it? Metal tubing isn't light...

Plus 6 passengers would add 1,000 lbs or more....
