This was exactly my thinking!I agree 100%. I am dumbfounded that Jeep left this option off both the JL and the JT, especially since the technology already exists across the FCA lineup. Why would a sunny day vehicle designed to remove the top and cruise not have cooled seats as an option?
I know i've discussed this on this forum before, but passive cooling is just blowing air on your butt. If they wanted to cool the air with a thermal peltier thats also an option and probably wouldn't add a ton of cost. Others have said they would rather have beefier off road equipment like the dana 44 axles. I say make it an option, that way not every customer is stuck paying for it, but the ones that want it, can get it, and cover the full expense of that amenity.
I think the consensus was that for the cooled seats, there has to be perforations in the leather. So when it rains, the seat gets wet.
I suppose it depends on how many people are planning for their seat to get rained on. I will 99% of the time have the top up when its raining, or going to rain, so I would prefer the cooled seats when its blazing hot and the top is down!
