Could a Gladiator do this?

I was just looking through off-roading videos on You YouTube and somehow found myself watching the most ridiculous vehicle "test" I've witnessed...quite entering and cringe worthy at the same time.

I'll say I'm glad it's NOT a gladiator, but it would be interesting to see how it held up!

My question is more a joke than anything... But the reality is most of us just want a capable rig they will not breakdown on us at the worst possible times.

Those old Toyotas trucks are well known for being unkillable. They don't have the most payload. They don't have the most towing capacity. But they are indestructible. They are masochists. They like being abused.

I think the Hilux, like Tacoma TRD Pros have Dana 44 axles, so technically a Gladiator could do it, but would you want to?

Um, he got lucky. We broke an '84 Hi-Lux in half. Long bed, double leaf springs, 14 ply bias tires. Loaded, with a car on a trailer. Broke both frame rails under the cab about 4-6 inches before the bed. A pair of come-alongs held it together enough to get it home, REAL gentle like.
Heck we even loaded one enough that you could pick up the front end off the ground without hurting yourself. Drove that real gentle to the scrapyard to unload. (I think there were 35 batteries in the bed.)
We have had 5 Hi-lux pick ups and one T100. Great trucks but everything has its limits.
I would guess that if those cinderblocks were strapped together, it would have snapped the truck in half. Everything hitting even milliseconds apart makes a huge difference.

A TRD Pro is just a regular Tacoma with low end Fox shocks and some flash
