I was just looking through off-roading videos on You YouTube and somehow found myself watching the most ridiculous vehicle "test" I've witnessed...quite entering and cringe worthy at the same time.

I'll say I'm glad it's NOT a gladiator, but it would be interesting to see how it held up!

That truck.. Toyota Pickup (United States, 1972–1995). Used list prices today in the 18-21K range today. 1995 Toyota Pickup/Towing capacity 2,000 to 3,500 lbs.
Guess the other question is what's the point of your question in todays' world.

My question is more a joke than anything... But the reality is most of us just want a capable rig they will not breakdown on us at the worst possible times.

I’ve seen his videos in the past, he definitely puts his vehicles through their paces, that Toyota took a good amount of stuff before its ultimate end. Respect

That guy is a spoiled little twat-waffle. At least when the guys on Top Gear would demolish a vehicle, it was funny, and they were making themselves appear to be idiots, this guy just plainly is a moron...

He's got 7,500,000 views. Is that going to pay for all this destruction?

I would say yes. I've seen a couple of his videos. He either has a trust fund or is making a boatload of money on Youtube. I'm assuming the latter.

Those old Toyotas trucks are well known for being unkillable. They don't have the most payload. They don't have the most towing capacity. But they are indestructible. They are masochists. They like being abused.

I think the Hilux, like Tacoma TRD Pros have Dana 44 axles, so technically a Gladiator could do it, but would you want to?

Um, he got lucky. We broke an '84 Hi-Lux in half. Long bed, double leaf springs, 14 ply bias tires. Loaded, with a car on a trailer. Broke both frame rails under the cab about 4-6 inches before the bed. A pair of come-alongs held it together enough to get it home, REAL gentle like.
Heck we even loaded one enough that you could pick up the front end off the ground without hurting yourself. Drove that real gentle to the scrapyard to unload. (I think there were 35 batteries in the bed.)
We have had 5 Hi-lux pick ups and one T100. Great trucks but everything has its limits.
I would guess that if those cinderblocks were strapped together, it would have snapped the truck in half. Everything hitting even milliseconds apart makes a huge difference.

A TRD Pro is just a regular Tacoma with low end Fox shocks and some flash

He started making videos long before he had money to buy and trash the current vehicles. He's become successful off his Chanel. The one where he takes it to hells revenge is the best.
