LOL - great one. If ur gonna do it........ put your all into it.No one ever said you do things half ass, good job getting that mud thoroughly distributed.
You beat me to it - took a few seconds but then I realized, hey, most alternators have historically cooled from rear to front. The fans are pullers, not pushers, cool air enters the rear of an alternator.I wonder since these alts are also reverse mounted if that is not making things worst and more susceptible to problems.
WTF........did you take it out and played mudball with it? I've never seen a alt that plugged with mud before.I know whats wrong with it...aint got no gas in it.

Before I once again say something stupid - are diesel alternators different? I ask because the gas version has a black cover over the rear, which in these is the front, if that makes sense..........WTF........did you take it out and played mudball with it? i took it off to clean it.Before I once again say something stupid - are diesel alternators different? I ask because the gas version has a black cover over the rear, which in these is the front, if that makes sense..........
I mean, there's little room to pack mud in there with that black cover shielding the front, I mean the back that's facing the front........

I suspect he studied up on it for a while, books, online classes, checked the viscosity of the mud, calculated the correct entry speed, and went for it.I am thoroughly amused at your ability to clog that thing up so good. For the amount of technical knowledge I have you would think I did that, but in reality….I wanna do hood rat things with my friends is what popped in my head.I suspect he studied up on it for a while, books, online classes, checked the viscosity of the mud, calculated the correct entry speed, and went for it.
