I bought my Gladiator out of necessity, needing a vehicle able to tow my trailer from Albuquerque to Georgia. It was either this or the Grand Cherokee.
It's a fact that is it more capable than my current needs require.
As long as this is my primary transportation, I probably won't be doing many trails. That will have to wait until another primary comes along.

No, and not especially planning to. I donā€™t need an ā€œexcuseā€.

When YOU pay for MY truck you can find fault with what I do/donā€™t do with it.
For some reason, this seems hilarious coming from someone from California.. haha! I agree with your point, but had to go there!

Depends on your definition of wheeling, riding on the beach, surf fishing yea, trails and fire lanes while hunting yep, rock crawling no, but I'm in FL so I am limited in my choices.

I really wish I could, though I do use the capabilities of it and the winch for yard work and projects around the house. I just don't have anywhere close enough to go. Everything is around 2 hours away, while not bad still puts it out of a single day when I think about driving to go and drive, to then drive home. Really need to get better at planning and make a weekend out of these places

I use my 2004 TJ Rubicon for wheeling but hope to take my stock JT Rubicon out to Colorado some year to do some trails. I'd like to go to All-4-Fun, the weeklong event put on by Mile High Jeep Club.

My excuse is I'm not interested.

I have another hobby that consumes my time and money.

Why did I buy a Gladiator then if Im not going to use it as 'intended'?

I've toyed with buying a pick-up for a few years wondering if it would be a better vehicle to support my particular needs.

Turns out it is and I wish I had done it long ago. Honestly a Ridgeline would suit me just fine but I really love being able to take the top off anytime and a Gladiator is just way cooler than a Ridgeline and I don't think you'll find many that disagree.

I do like to go camping with my kids and do a few thing where having a 4x4 is helpful but if I being honest it nothing my old Honda Element couldn't handle.

I don't feel any insecurity about what I own and how I use it.

If I had a 4" lift and 37's and a snorkel and all that other stuff then yeah call me a poser but all I want was a pick-up to haul some stuff and a drop top because its fun. I have only changed or modified things that I need to for how I use it daily. Where else was I going to get that?

Actually, that first pic is in Moab. Wipe Out Hill. We were on 7 mile rim and took a slight detour to hit this up. The other Sedona shot is from Broken Arrow.
