That is awesome, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I have the same bumper and have yet to find a cover that I can get to stay on at highway speeds.
I fabricated one a couple of months ago. I have synthetic and didn’t like it exposed all the time. I added some weatherstripping under the plate to keep crap from the road from getting underneath it.
I didn’t like the bags but I never found a steel cover made for the factory steel bumper???
The winch is a smittybuilt H2O 12k# with a warn mounting plate. I built the plate to where I can still barely reach under to move the lever, but if I am doing something where I might use it I switch the five factory bolts out for two thumbscrew M8 bolts.@Jeeptruck that looks great. But how do you get to the release lever to spool out?
I do not use a cover. We have enough rain and humidity here that it is a tough decision. Use one and protect it, or use one and the line might stay wet since the cover will hold the damp in.
Yeah I can’t believe no one makes a steel cover for the stock bumper. But I guess it only works well if you remote mount the box under the hood and not enough people do that? That is awesome, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
