He will find out that the pan was better than the fire. Wait till he gets a nice G.M. engine, maybe turbo charged, also a nice 10 speed junk G.M. auto trany.Loads of problems with both.

It is all cyclical. He leaves and someone else from the other side with the same problems comes over.

It is always the biggest POS when it is one's turn in the barrel.

I've said it before....No matter how good an engine in the marketplace, when it goes south and gets expen$ive, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I'm sorry OP had to deal with this. I get why he'd want to move on. But there's no perfect engine out there that hasn't done something like this out there to someone. It's the nature of manufactured mechanical things made by human beings.

Chevy/GMC trucks are very nice. Odds are, it will treat him very well.

Oh damnit guys!!! I know every manufacturer have their flaws. I am hopping that it all goes well with the GMC. I love the Jeep brand, the community and the ducking , LOL.

I came to Jeep from the Mitsubishi Montero world w an awesome community as well.

I have:
2001 with 265k, well I had to rebuild the engine because my daughter, we gave it to her to go to colleges, drove it with just 1qt of oil in the engine. Fortunately though, I caught it on time and only a crankshaft bearing spun 1/4 of a turn so no damage. Put new rings and bearings with new gaskets and it is back to factory specs.
Also a 1990 V6 with 375k miles that before shipping it back home to Puerto Rico I am going to rebuilt the engine.

A 1988 4cyl with 500k that once I finish the 90 will receive a new ready to go turbocharged engine good for 450hp.

Guys as many of you, I wanted to tinker with cars at a low scale and as a hobby but wanted the JT Rubicon to be the one with all the best of everything and the one to not fix/touch/mess with any problems. I have a very busy schedule at work, homes, kiddos in college, a wife, two dogs and many hobbies to attend. RLMAO.

Are the problems with the 3.6 design issues or mfg issues or oil issues? If it's an actual design issue them we are all in trouble. My JT will never see 100K with me.

Maybe you should clarify if you are talking about two different trucks in one forum that’s about Jeep Gladiators? Would limit confusion.
Maybe you should think a little deeper before you make such assumptions? Why the f*** would I be saying 230 was the red on my Gladiator?

It sure as hell is. I am talking about my Dodge Ram.
But in regards to different vehicles, I agree. I wasn’t used to seeing those temps in a truck and the needle still sit below halfway on the gauge.

Because this entire thread is about gladiators. And you wrote “my truck?”

not

my other truck, the ram.

But the Gladiator doesn't even show 230 as a max temp in the red. Anybody who owns one knows that.
