Ive bounced around.. most of my joy is in the build! Started off in a stock 80 series that escalated quickly into 42s, got tired of all the custom work and built my first 2018 JL on 38s (wow having bolt on's are nice...) got tired of being like everyone else so I build a 2nd gen tacoma, bobbed it and built it on 39's, missed the old JL so I restarted with more knowledge and built my black 2023 on 38s that I still have today, and recently added the Mojave JT as a daily/ hunting rig, not sure how far I'll go with it as the JL still has some stuff it needs.

So far all of these have been to rubicon multiple times, Moab multiple times and all over WA state besides the JT. Not sure yet if I want to drag its belly all over...yet.

My first vehicle was a 94' YJ followed by a 97 ZJ Laredo, 99 WJ LImited 4.7, 01 WJ Limited 4.7, 05 WK Limited 5.7, 2015 Grand Cherokee SRT, 2019 WK2 Limited and 2020 JTR

I have owned a lot of vehicles since 1996 when I started driving but have owned my share of Jeeps. The JTR is the most capable offroad vehicle I have owned yet in my opinion

In terms of Jeeps, I’ve either had or have:

* 1997 XJ Sport. Patriot Blue. Automatic. Still regret selling it.
* 2007 JK 2-door X model. Black. 6-speed manual. Still have it, still love driving it.
* 2021 JTR. Sting Gray. 6-speed manual. I’ve been super happy with it.

I've had a few... First was a late 60' wrangler mutt.. the only thing in it that was year appropriate was the frame. Late 80's tub, all Chevy drivetraiin. Then I had a 97 TJ that I did a full chevy drivetrain swap myself with a 6 1/2 longarm running 40's. Had a Cherokee country edition, a 2007 Commander I bought new, a 2006 commander I bought used. We bought a 2020 cherokee new and she didnt like it, traded that for a 20 wrangler, drove it, traded that in. Then she missed that and went back and bought another 2020 Wrangler last winter after 2 others in between. (Nissan and Toyota) We both bought my 2022 Gladiator, traded my Big Horn in, and her wrangler the same day, the same color. Gluttons we are. Will continue to stick with Jeep in the future unless I need something bigger for plowing and that would probably be another Big Horn 2500

My first Jeep (not counting the Tonka's that really got me started) was a '59 Willys pickup.

I bought it in '87 in SoCal, drove it to AK after getting it running, then sold it when I was a poor college student with nowhere to work on it.

After that I had a couple of daily driver CJ7's, a few CJ5's (that I bought and sold as projects) and finally my JKR.
Of all the vehicles I've owned (including motorcycles) this Wrangler is my favorite.
So far...

I'd been researching mid size pickups to replace my full size and discovered the JT max tow package, other than the small bed it was perfect. I found my JT two weeks ago, new on the lot at a make-it go-away price.

It's a base Sport with the hard top, max tow and tonneau cover.

Currently the plan is to leave it stock, I bought it for truck duties and have the JKR for exploring the desert.
I love it.

I was excited when the Gladiator was announced but I kept holding out hope that an extra cab with 6' bed would be built. I eventually gave up on that but I did realize that with the tow capacity I can grab the trailer for anything that won't fit in the bed.

I find it interesting that I eventually ended up in another Jeep pickup.

1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 252k miles, only had to replace the thermostat and power steering. Great vehicle, wished I had never sold it.

Some awesome history here! My first Jeep was (still is) an 06 TJ. But I think I have always been a 'Jeep' guy. My dad had a CJ when I was a kid and we took it on all sorts of adventures - although I was too young to remember so fortunately I have a photo.

After a series of difficult life events, I needed to get back to 'me' and ended up finding this low mileage well taken care of TJ. I lost a bunch of cash in the trade deal but that didn't matter at the time. It gave me a new sense of freedom and was one of the best life decisions to date.

Well fast forward to a couple years ago and opportunities lined up. I had been eyeballing the JT for quite a while. I still want to get a TJ Brute REALLY bad. but, the idea of a narrow vehicle in truck form was perfect for my lifestyle and joys in life. So, I made some changes and went for it. Long story short, I ended up with the 22 JTR

I may (hopefully not) have other vehicles in the future, but at the heart of it will always be a "Jeep" guy. Theres just something about these vehicles that no other can compare.

A 2015 JKU was my first Jeep and first vehicle I’d bought new. Then a RHD TJ, and now the JT. You could add in there a ‘13 JKU, ‘16 Compass, and ‘19 Grand Cherokee that my wife has owned and I think you’ll spot a bit of a pattern ?

First Jeep was a 1947 CJ2A with a V6 swap. Had that one about 15 years. Sold it about 20 years ago.

Bought a 2023 Gladiator Rubicon last Wednesday.

They’re not as different as you’d think. The new one still feels like a Jeep.

My JT was my first Jeep. I always wanted one growing up but could not afford one. Then as an adult I could afford it, but could not bring myself to buy one due to initial cost, gas mileage, and the cost to build it the way I would want to.

Every time my wife and I looked at new vehicles over the last 23 years, she tried to get me to buy one. I finally gave in late 2020 when my Ridgeline was wrecked. It was almost twice the price of any car I had owned previously and I have spent a ton modifying it. a few months later we bought her a two door JLR. She will not let me modify it much.

1976 CJ-7. No cell phone then and I can’t find the pictures just now. Blue and soft top. No high bucket seats, which I liked better Than the head rest type. Good old Mr. 3 speed.
