410s installed. The 37s now rides like 33s. No longer feels like I'm cheating myself out of the diesel power by not regearing. And even with the camper, I am back at around 23 mpg highway (65 cruising speed).
what were you getting MPG wise before? And even with the camper, I am back at around 23 mpg highway (65 cruising speed).
cannot get 4.10s w the diesel. 3.73 onlyI think....if you order a diesel you do not get 4.10's unless it is a Rubicon then it comes with them. Try building one online and see what it gives you for gears.
Yes, someone else mentioned that after I posted, after looking again I saw they were correct.cannot get 4.10s w the diesel. 3.73 only
I know cuz I tried to convince the dealer who ordered mine to go around the system and custom them on my build.....NO GO....assuming due to warrentyYes, someone else mentioned that after I posted, after looking again I saw they were correct.
More than warranty. It is not like getting a car built in the 1960's or 1970's when everything was non software driven and analog where you could get a buddy at the factory to walk a special option on the vehicle.I know cuz I tried to convince the dealer who ordered mine to go around the system and custom them on my build.....NO GO....assuming due to warrenty
I'm wondering how long it will be before tire and gears changes are illegal since all of this stuff is certified by the EPA signoff?More than warranty. Putting 4.10's on a Diesel would also cascade down the chain on the PCM programming if not other things. The dealers cannot over ride their order system and just put things on that are not allowed due to engineering constraints.
Ex brother in law worked for Ford back in the late 60's early 70's where they built the Mustang. He built his own '70 Boss 302 Mustang on the line. Walked down the line with it. Every performance part Ford had at that time was on that car.More than warranty. I dont know what truck that was in bud it’s likely double the torque and 50-75% more hp. Not comparableGuys and gals, I had 3.73's in my Dually and pulled anything I wanted. I would only go with 4.10's if I was pulling max/Heavy constantly. Heck the chassis cabs have a 4.88 option and I wouldn't do that unless it stayed loaded....
