Although the 3.73 is listed, I was told by the dealer that the max tow option kept the 4.10 gearing.
The Max Tow option does have 4.10 gearing, but also requires a gas engine and is not available on a Rubicon.

It's easy to figure out what gears you have. Check your tire size, then pick a speed in any gear and see what rpms you're running. We know the gearing of the transmission, and since these are fixed ratios, it's easy to calculate. But pretty sure you have 3.73s. Dealers will say anything to sell something.

I can confirm that I chose basically every option when building my diesel and it comes with 3.73 gears. The diesel does not come with 4.10 from the factory.

Sounds like another clueless dealer since:

1. You can't get the Max Tow on a diesel
2. You can't get the Max tow on a Rubicon
3. Every single diesel, regardless of trims, gets 3.73 gears.

These salespeople really need to be more informed...

Sales people are often very misinformed. Always do your own research

I just did a build and price on the website. I started with a Rubicon that defaults to 4.1 gears and gas engine. The only thing I changed was selecting the 3.0 Turbo Diesel which immediately and automatically changes "3 things":
- Deletes manual transmission
- Adds Auto transmission
- Deletes 4.10 axle ratio

For the record the EcoD rubicon only comes in 3:73 gears and DOES have the 4:1 transfer case (i verified wit my own eyes. )

I can't comment on if the sport EcoD has 4:1 transfer case or the 2:72

Remember that 4.10 gears aren't really ideal for a diesel. Its redline is 4500 RPM. Significantly lower than the gas engine. With stock wheels and tires you aren't going to be in the sweet spot with 4.10 gears.
Diesels like to turn slow.
Yes. The 3.45s from the JL would be a much better fit with the EcoDiesel. The power band is very narrow and peak torque is at 1,600ish RPM. Need to keep the tach needle low on the dial.

If anyone is wondering, I swapped to a set of Nitro 4.10 when I installed my ARB Air Lockers and 37's, in my opinion, the gear ratio is just about perfect, even with how heavy I am. Per the calculator I found online, I should be just about the rpm range as a factory stock diesel Rubicon.

The good news is that the EcoD torque tends to work-around the stress of gearing. Good luck.

This is great to hear, as I'm planning to tackle some 4.10 this weekend too. I really missed the takes off torque with my 37's.

And even with the camper, I am back at around 23 mpg highway (65 cruising speed).
