When I lived in China, there were govt. employees downbadging (smaller engine size) their govt. Audis so their neighbors wouldn't rat them out for having the larger (obtained via bribery/unauthorized) engine...

I bought Mojave take-off wheels/tires because they’re a comparatively-affordable upgrade and I like the Mojave wheels more than Rubicon.

I also thought it would be cool to add orange accents (including orange tow hooks) before I realized that’s what Mojave’s do. I may still do it.

But I’d never slap a Mojave sticker on the hood.
I was going to repaint my tow hooks orange then I found out the Mojave was going with orange... So I went with carmel brown... and I just got a set of Mojave take off rims :like: but have "Plasta-dip'ed" a set of stock rims, with HT tread tires.
Many years ago when the XJ's was being made and sold a few dealership's ordered some "stickers" for them and low buck lift kit's (add a leaf, f.coils) some tires then started slapping them on and marking them for about $2000 and up more.

2003 Jeep TJ I had about 6 years ago. I just had to do it (TONKA). I am sure it annoyed someone but is was like a big toy. Thing was a beast. Had 4:10 gears, 30 spine axles in rear and chrome molly CV's up front. The trutrac diffs with a Rubicon 4:1 transfer case. No lockers needed. Had traction to spare. I can not say enough good about how awesome the trutracs were.

I have zero issue with fake trims. Made up trims. Or take offs. Just adding decal makes no sense. Had the guy put a full rubi hood on i think i would have said ok.

Mine may be a fake Rubicon. Some things are now considered fake, even when they're not, and vis a versa.
I'm too old to try and figure it out.

That is a great looking truck Rubicon or not. Be proud of what you drive. Again, great looking rig!

I have a Overland and the wife wanted to name it Maximus and our small camper Minimus. Figured I’d go along with it since spending the money on the recent lift. Little did I know that Hennessy uses that name for their $225k Gladiator. I’m not changing it either but definitely not trying to pose.

Been thinking of removing the Rubicon branding off my Rubicon since honestly I don't like the red with gator or the attention that trim level sometimes draws. But not sure what I would get normal lettering to replace it with there.

In other news I might have a 4x4 trail rated badge on the back of my prius for the lulz, hope nobody thinks that is posing.
