I am confused you want capitalism or want communism, the Chinese are just beating us at our own capitalist game that we like to put on a display and remind other how great it is. We pollute and treat worker just as bad, don't fool yourself.
Sorry bout that but I m not confused at all! Communism is a scourge on The Earth, that has caused more death and harm. Capitalism while not perfect, has been mostly beneficial for more folks than not.

From flat beds to communism. This forum never fails to entertain.
Pretty sure all of my AR15's have at least one Chinese part each on them, if that tells you how much I care 😂

My global economy support is uh, balanced...

Im The same way. I’ll buy American if the part or product I want is available from an American owned and operated company. If I find something that does the job better from China or Israel or Timbuktu I’ll get it from there.

As far as supporting a communist war machine, in my opinion, there’s only 1 country that could come close to challenging the US on that front and it ain’t China. China fights in different ways than military might.

How bad does America pollute compared to China? What American companies had workers jumping out of windows to their deaths because of working conditions? What is the 996 work schedule?

You have to remember that for a few decades now kids have been taught that Communism isn't that bad because there was no Soviet empire anymore to be worried about, China was emerging as a tech and manufacturing hub and even worse that cultural and moral relativism are legitimate. Mao's Great Leap Forward and Stalin's Gulags were a distant memory of their grandparents.

We OTOH grew up with the very real threat that the Russkies could drop the bomb at any moment and if you didn't eat your dinner a starving kid in China would be envious.

Anywhere you go in the world you just come across people trying to live their lives they may have different languages, look different, Maybe eat different things, have different goal and standards of living but most do not have any hand in anything more than that like most of us.

You sound like my step dad. He was a die hard "Made in USA is the only way!". He tried to show me his made in USA things, and I showed him how they indeed were not made in USA. Assembled maybe, but almost all components were sourced from overseas. He aslo has phone made in China, a computer made in China with chips and boards made in Tiawan, drove a truck that was built in Mexico, and bought almost everything exclusively through Amazon and Ebay. Unless you know for a fact all coponents are manufactured and work is done in house, you're still probably contributing to all the things you just mentioned by giving your money to US based businesses thats source their products from overseas. Sit on your high horse all you want, but the reality is we live on a planet that relies on a global economy.

As I said, I'm all about supporting US busineses, but I won't support businesses that are unresponsive or don't stand behind their word or their product, and I'll do my research to see if that product they offer at inflated pricing is just from a Chinese manufacturing facility catalog that i can get elsewhere for half the cost.
People want to talk about working conditions/wages/etc over there...

Have you ever worked in a manual labor job in the last decade? They pay MINIMUM wage, EXPECT you to OWN EVERYTHING you could POSSIBLY need, and you must work 60+ hour weeks just to make enough to live as a single adult with barely $200/mo to save IF you don't have any hobbies or hangout with friends, or a vehicle payment/insurance, or a mortgage (can't afford both on that wage), or god forbid you got seriously ill.

So yeah, I'll keep supporting a fucked economy when the people who control that economy prove they give a shit about fixing it, WITH RESULTS.

That looks identical to the Rebel Off-Road ones with pretty much the same specs.

Some subtle differences, but overall same design. Same rear, same side boxes. Both claim designed and built in their respective contries... a prime example of selective wording to make peopel think they are buying locally.

Rebel says "Designed and assembled in California." This does not mean its made in USA with US materials, it can simply mean their US based design team decided what they wanted, worked with an overseas supplier for those brand specific details, and then received a box of parts that they assembled in Cali.

MITS says "built in Australia", so they could be doing the same as Rebel and sourcing from overseas and then assembling them in Aussieland, or Rebel could be getting them from MITS and rebranding as their own, or vice-versa, but my guess is they both source from the same manufacturing facility.

This is why I don't get too wrapped up in only buying from the US or "Made in USA".

yeah, the Owner of Rebel-Offroad according to his profile had an expansive career in Australia. I visited Off-Road Texas when I was in Dallas to see if they happened to have any of these to look at. They didn't have there but the owner was there and he took probably 2 hours to just sit and talk with me. He answered all my questions, he received a few phone calls while talking with me but just ignored them. I already have a few of their products but after this interaction with the owner I would go with them over another company.
