Drove my LE home 84 miles on Monday in a pretty stiff wind. Driver's side inner fender caught on tire when I got home and was torn up a bit. Sent pix to dealer. He is reporting too.

So much for my theory of it only being a M/T tire issue. This sucks

Yep. Disappointing that QA would let this go through. They had to have experienced this in their mules...... I'm sure they'll come up with a fix but in the mean time there could be a lot of stuff thrown up in the engine bay....

Just curious. Do the aftermarket liners for the JL fit the JT?

Update: Dealer replaced parts that Jeep sent them. Looks like the same exact flimsy parts. Time will tell I guess.

Is there a more rigid aftermarket option available yet to just change this out?

I’m curious if a layer of bedliner or the like would stiffen these up enough to last.

Or maybe a zip-tie to a non-moving structure? Maybe glue something on the backside like a rod or something? At some point they'll update the part. I might go to an aluminum liner once it is available.

Was watching a youtube video of a guy who is building a Gladiator for overlanding and I noticed something when he panned into the wheel well....a zip tie. Video link should play at the 4 minute mark.

While installing the Mopar splash guards on mine last night I noticed that the front AND rear liners are paper thin on this truck. They were not this way at all on my '18 JL. On the JT there was a part in the splash guard instructions that said I needed to drill a 1/4" hole for one of the plastic rivets...well I was able to just push a screwdriver right through the liner with ease. No drill needed.

Ridiculous on a truck at this price. Why wouldn't they just use JL liners??

Cost savings. But it will cost them more in the end after they have to replace a bazillion sets.

Update! Mine is at the dealership getting the new liners installed right now. I will update when they are done.

Exactly what I stated to my service advisor, we walked over to a JLU Rubicon and felt the liner, then walked over to mine, and 2 service folks were amazed at the difference. I am betting that the ones Jeep
