Perhaps you put you foot in fire?

Stop saying fact it does not help your case.

If this really happened as you describe stop posting about it. Get a good lawyer and get reparations. A good lawyer will look at your FACTS and take the case on consignment . The more you talk the less they will have to go on.

Are you diabetic? How the hell did it get that bad before you felt it?
Thread hijack. Sorry Red this happened!
Neuropathy? Diabetes? Serious.
This heat poses a serious risk then to these folks. They won’t feel the damage till it’s too late. Jeep NEEDS to look into this.
@JeepCares.
I wouldn’t hesitate to contact legal counsel.
Between melting fender liners and heat- sink floor boards., yeah some modifications are in order here.
Jeep you listening? Sketchy situation.
Not acceptable by any means.

I am not disagreeing with what happened to you. I absolutely believe you and can see how this is a serious issue, but who has a "before" picture of their foot laying around?

Just struck me as a little odd. I
wonder if a spray in sound/heat shield like Lizardskin or Rhino Lining would be enough to keep this from happening again? Is there any heat shielding built into the carpet?

Good luck and I hope you heal quickly!

I wonder if a header wrap material would help on the pipes under the floor board

I wonder how a thread dealing with inner wheel well liners ended up devolving into driver’s side heat build-up issues when there is already a thread dedicated to that already. We get it Red, you are upset about this but we don’t need to hear about it in every other thread.

Please...try to keep it...in your on thread...already posted elsewhere...on this forum

Well if the factory doesn’t address this issue before I take delivery. Fer sure I’ll be
looking at Jet-Hot Coatings for long term
solutions. Plus additional reflective foil backed heat insulation below the carpeted areas. As far as those fender liners, maybe remove them and see what they are actually
“Protecting” if it just a deflector. I’d coat that area with undercoating or line ex for structure/frame. Components... well
Just have to see how durable they’ll be:)
Cheers all

I will be filing a formal complaint tomorrow... and also about the heat in the driver's footwell and the injury I have suffered,... and now have a burned foot... before and after... photo enhanced... to bring out the story going on... My foot still hurts...

And I made contemporaneous posts here... in the middle of the drive, while this all was going down during the drive...

man this is a serious issue especially if you live in areas that see triple digit temperatures, I really hope jeep has a fix for this soon.

Guess I will keep the thread hijack going. Has anybody besides Red complained about his claimed heat issue or had similar injuries? Not discounting his claims, just wondering if he is a one off issue with other extenuating circumstances or is there a larger issue here?

All I have seen is him yelling from the mountain tops in every thread he can get traction in.

I've a 2dr 2018 JLR. Picked it up in Idaho and drove back to Colorado. Been to Moab and other parts of Colorado and not felt the floor get hot. On the JL forum there's no similar threads about heat coming through the floor.

I have a JL also but they supposedly have rerouted the exhaust for the JT so I do not think it is a apples to apples comparison.

I guess I am just trying to figure out the scope of Red's complaint or if he has additional medical issues over amplifying an non issue for the other 99% if buyers?

I guess we'll find out when we get our JT. Surprising that they'd reroute the exhaust since the front half of the JT is identical to the JL.

Well, I just got an email from my dealer that Alex from @JeepCares called him, provided the part numbers to order replacement parts. And they are going to be changing how they are produced at the factory as well. Hopefully this will resolve the issue.
