I still think the lit area isn’t enough.
When I hit the brakes, I want my brake lights to slap the face of the guy behind me and say, “Hey! I’m stopping, asshole! Don’t hit me!!!”

Glad so many here love them and are ready to jump. I will help you by partially offsetting the cost. IM me and we can make a deal on your factory LED tails. Seriously.

These look perfect, nice work @ORACLElights. Out of curiosity, do you guys get these and your other light replacements DOT approved?
Yes, for road-going lights (not rock lights and accessory lights) we do and these will have to be 3rd party tested and verified to meet FMVSS regulation before production.

I see the nice amount of LEDs in there for reverse lights. Would you say they are an upgrade over the stock halogens? It looks like pairing them with the bumper ones I ordered might be able to give me some serious rear lighting.

We have been doing tests with the prototypes and the reverse lights in these tail lights are almost too bright. Even with half the LEDs turned off they are very intense.

Leave them BRIGHT! I don't think any of us will complain ?. Hopefully they're able to be tapped into on an aux switch for camp lighting.

They are bright enough that you need to wear a welding helmet while working on them.

Notice in the reflection that this is with half the LEDs disabled for testing ?

Thats awesome. I know its a lot but what would be cool is if somehow they were addressable separately and/or tunable for reverse. some on with standard mode, but then flip a switch for full power. See them being really cool if they are that powerful for other uses. Already plan on running the bumper ones to an aux switch.
