Bob Baker is where I took it to. I live in Oceanside so it is the closest dealer to me.
That's a bummer. I had a decent buying experience there, but because of the distance, Kearny Mesa was much closer for me. Hopefully, you get the TSB executed. Even if you have to take it to another dealer, it may be worth it. Best of luck.

I have the bad box but my jeep drives ok with it. It's probably not nearly as bad as some with maybe about 1/2" dead spot. I do find myself correcting slightly tho. Any here that don't really have complaints with it and will you just keep the old box or at some point before the warranty is up get it replaced? I'm probably one of the few that don't have big issues with it but when I take it in for my 3000 mile oil change I most likely will address it with the dealer and I'll be honest about it. The last thing I want is for them to mess it up worse.."if it ain't broke don't fix it". But at some point before the warranty is up, unless it starts getting worse i'll probably want it replaced. Are you fellow jeepers going to keep the box if you show no signs of problems?
I had mine done yesterday and for some reason I only had a 2 week wait for parts. I wanted to get this done before Michigan froze over. I noticed a large improvement on wheel reaction and lane maintenance.

I went in for Wave oil change #2 yesterday and had the hardcopy of the TSB in hand. Had to wait for the service writer to finish a phone call. Handed him the note and he wanted to clarify when I felt the steering was bad. I said from 60 on up, he noted it in the system and gave me an AM appointment for Veteran's Day. We'll see.

I needed to go to a local dealership and while there, I asked the service tech about it. I told him how I had to continuously correct the path of the vehicle on the interstate. He said there was an issue, but they had to test drive it and parts were on back order. Told me to make an appointment and come back for them to test drive it. I thought they were supposed to replace it if I described the condition. I have had mine 2 1/2 weeks and doesn't have 900 miles on it.
My dealer said i should stop reading forums on the internet... :lipssealed:

I am guessing they don't make as much money on warranty claims?

trying to get my gaurdian services fully fixed, then will work on this. wanders like a drunk
I was turned by my dealer in Northern Virginia. They said it was with in limits
I noticed my jeeps steering wheel Is at 11oclock when driving down the road. 2200miles on it.
Just bought my Mojave 2020 last week and it has this issue for sure...noticed it on the test drive. Will have to take it back to the dealer with the TSB....wish me luck lol!!

I was fortunate to have the steering box tested and fixed today by my dealer. My issue was subtle before and I was on the fence about having the fix done, procrastinated for a couple months due to other things going on and not wanting to run into issues with the dealer. Fortunately I had a very no hassle experience today, so if you are on the fence, I'd say reach out to your dealer at least. Again, my old steering box was tolerable, but I noticed the improvements right away in the parking lot. I was most fearful the aluminum steering box would just get worse over time, so something can be said for a little peace of mind.

This past weekend, I had a bad experience with the steering. The wind was really gusting and I was traveling the interstate at approx. 70 MPH. An 18 wheeler was passing me and the combination of the wind gusts and the wind off the truck caused some concern with control of my vehicle. I was already correcting the steering from the wind gusts, but with the 18 wheeler beside me, I was really having to concentrate on keeping my vehicle in my traffic lane. I never had this issue with either one of my Wrangler Unlimiteds, so why would Chrysler put this thing on the road? Where is Ralph Nader when you need him!

Frickin' dealer service was about what I expected. They claimed they had to confirm the problem, I reiterated three times the TSB clearly states it is a response to customer complaint. They didn't even have the part, the service writer asked ME if they did! I confirmed with the screener the day before "you have the part, right?" Yeah, whatever.

I'm not about to get into longer lower control arms and tire pressure adjustments I've made to keep the steering live-able. The wind we drove through going to the coast last weekend was an unpleasant reminder of how sketchy the steering box can make things feel.

They pushed me off with "we'll make an exception and order a box for you, Chrysler limits us to one a week" - more lies. About what I expected.

My wife's a teacher, she had a "vacation" day for Veteran's Day, schleps down to the dealer with me, I burn daylight waiting for a NOTHING result, and now I'm thinking I might as well drive an hour North back to the dealer I bought the truck from. That's a whole DAY wasted on a 2 hr parts exchange. Sheesh, just follow the TSB and don't waste people's time.
